missed dose and took 5 hrs later

have been on this med 2 weeks.bp has been perfect.yesterday forgot to take and remembered and took 5 0r 6 hrs later.when i took my pressure it was 178 can missing this cause that?It is still up this morning .I will take at noon today.what gives?

This drug can cause MANY side effects .. .there are natural products for high blood pressure . . instead of taking drugs. Most drs. are drug-happy . . since that's all they know.
