Mood Swings

I took Seasonale for about 2 years before my insurance company stopped covering the name brand pills. This is my first time taking Quasense, but I have not had any mood swings yet. IJ did take Jolessa (another generic for Seasonale) and I had long bouts of break through bleeding (2-3 weeks and then a normal week long period). The worst mood swings I ever had were with Cyclessa. Maybe you can check with your doctor to see if the name brand Seasonale would work better for you.

I am taking the Quasense and I am having ridiculous mood swings...anxiety, depression, and anger. I'm irritable and it makes me self-doubt and I find myself stuggling with low self esteem. I am not normally an unhappy person and am usually very patient. It seems I've been irritable and impatient, especially with those that are closest to me. I can only attribute this to Quasense. I've even tried taking B-complex and B-12 vitamins. It helps some with the irritability where I am able to recognize it more but I have trouble concentrating on these birth control pills. I have had this brownish discharge spotting for the last six weeks. I am going to give it another six weeks and finish out this prescription. If it doesn't seem to get any better, I may need to find another pill.
