nuvaring left out more then a week

i had nuvaring for about 3 months now. last period was july 23 2008 . got a yeast infection from ring .. lasted about a week and a half went to gyno told me not to put the ring back in till the 10th has been in since the 10th but no period yet? is this normal ?
