Ok,firstly Darvon is a capsule by itself. Another name for it is Propoxyphene nad its a very strong medicatioin therefore it should be taken under doctor's order and should not be continued or seeked for over the counter becasue of the adictiveness of the medication. They wont usually mixed other medication with darvon or propoxyphene because of its strength. This is to be taken alone without any additional medications or alcohol. Darvon is a narcotic analgestic and is used on the brain to decrease pain. Therefore overdose can be fatal....or even as i mentioned before use of Darvon with other medications and consuming of alcohol while taking Darvon can be fatal. you probably need to be more specific what you use it for. What kind of pian is it associated with? so therefore we can reply to if we know of any substitute you can use other than Darvon or something that may contain darvon.Darvon is actually a sort of sedative and should not be sued by simeone with suicidal thoughts and also shouldnt be paired with any other sedative like valium and so fort. Also most of the drugs which can be used in place of Darvon have been removed in the U.S. Probably you can check with your doctor again for him to recommend prescribing another dosage for you. This is the saf ething to do and in the mean time i suggest that you dont take any aspirin or any other pain relieving drugs if you recently completed a cycle of the Dorvon. Hope my response was helpful to you. Anglia
