Pain and numbness in tounge

I have been taking Ambien for a couple of years now and besides the common side affects talked about here, I have had pain and numbness on the right side of my tonge and throat. Seems to be fine in morning but always gets worse as the day progresses. This seemed to start when my Ambien was changed to a generic. Also get a cold spacey feeling in my right eye as the day progresses. Does this sound like it can be linked to the Ambien ?
