I have been taking Vytorin for about 9 months. Recently I have been having severe cramping and pain in my feet and toes at night, similar to a stabbing nerve pain. My knees are also hurting which has never happened before. I walk on a treadmill but it only seems to get worse. I thought I had plantar faciitis, but now am wondering if the pain could be related to the medication. Could this cause pain in the feet and toes?
Nikki, Absolutely the pain you describe can be comming from the Vytorin. Its called neuropathy and its common with cholesterol lowering drugs. Try not to be too concerned with cholesterol since the link between cholesterol and heart disease has never been proven. Also, clinical trials of vytorin have shown no benefits in cardiovascular health.
