I suddenly developed really bad heart palpitations 14 months into taking Yasmin and now suffer from them most days. I also now get panic and anxiety symptoms as a result. Is it possible that Yasmin has caused this? Went to my doctors 3 months ago and they said my heart sounded fine and all blood tests came back normal but the heart palps continue. Have had palps before the pill but only after caffeine and they were very mild...these seem quite strong and make me panic even though they do come in waves and go away after a while. If it is Yasmin that has caused this it should be withdrawn as a drug - it is evil.

i have had the same exact symptoms and my doctors couldnt find anything. so one day i started browsing the web and i found out about you guys. so thank you for sharing. i have been off of yasmin now for about a week i feel alot better

I feel a lot better now too although the palps and anxiety still come on occassionally - usually heightened by alcohol or chocolate or work-related stress. I've read that high levels of progesterone cause palpitations which kind of makes sense since pills affect hormone levels. I've also read Aloe Vera Gel capsules help with the problem so may try those...keep ou posted...
I too had horrible heart palpitations on yasmin, it affected my life since i have been scared to exersize as much, ourt of lethargy and fear of more palps. Doctors couldnt find anything wrong, all kinds of tests. now I know and i just pray that I will be ok. I have been on yasmin for 6 years, now I have been off it for a little over a month, instead of a period i had tiny little bit of spotting this month and thats it. my sex drive is gone, i wasted 6 years being irritable and I feel like that was just the tip of the iceburg. please get of this drug everyone, and WHY cant we fight this company?
Yes I also had the scary heart palpitations on Yasmin and like yourself and so many others, I have been told by doctors and cardiologists that there is nothing wrong with my heart. This only started after Yasmin. So yes, that is DEFINITELY what caused your heart palpitations!
