paxil to effexor xr

Has anyone switched from Paxil to Effexor xr? i was wondering how the side effects differed. i am currently on Paxil, gained 28 pounds and am extremely lazy and tired all the time. i am going to make the switch, but i hope it still works the same for me. Also, i was wondering about social drinking of Effexor xr. can i have two glasses of wine? or will i feel extremely dizzy and out of it? that is how i felt when i took Paxil CR. i would start walking backwards uncontrollably. Please advise.......
