Prednisone and your speech

Posted at 9:20 AM on Sep 09, 2009 by nlockett, #10855
Does taking prednisone affect your speech. I have been taking prednisone for Lupus. I was wondering if it makes you talk faster. Sometimes I feel I have no control over my speech. My doctor says he has not heard of it affecting people's speech. He tells me when I feel like I am about to start talking fast to take a deep breath and slow down. This is no consolation to me.I need to know if it's not the medicine than do you have any idea what could make me talk like this?

This drug can cause many side effects and everyone is different. Unfortunately, most drs. push drugs and really don't know/care about the side effects. I suggest that you read the posts and see the videos in this website. There are many natural products/alternatives . . . . instead of taking drugs.
