Pregnancy -Side effects

My husband and I are planning to start a family and was wondering if Allegra has been proven to be safe for use during pregnancy. It seems to be the only drug that relieves me during my allergy attacks effectively. Also, would it be harmful to endure hay fever attacks like frequent sneezing during pregnancy w/o treatment? What is a safe and effective alternative to Allegra during pregnancy? Thanks.
