Response to party just starting Lithobid.

I have bipolar disorder and have been taking Lithium for 13 years and then Lithobid 3 years. I would have to say the worst side effect which goes away as you can stablized on the med is sleepy-sleepy time, but Lithium was worse and the Lithobid being a time release med works great. I'm currently starting the process of going on to something new called neurontin due to the tyroid & kidney damage that can occur due to long term use. Do your lab work religiously and all should go well. Remember to stay positive all meds have their ups and downs. But Lithobid works very well. Sky
