Posted at 8:40 PM on May 19, 2009 by schung, #9968
I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes three years ago. I control it with diet and exercise and no medication. My doctor put me on lipitor because of family history and at the time of diagnosis of my diabetes. I am very uncomfortable taking lipitor, should I go off it?

This dangerous drug can cause MANY side effects. I am a victim from this POISON . . .so, I know. Drs. and the drug co's have a SCAM going on with cholesterol drugs . . .it is all about $$ . . . .your body/mind need cholesterol to function. By the way, Lipitor would be worse for your diabetes too.

You should be aware that statins heve been shown to cause increases in blood sugar and increases in diabetes in virtually every trial. Its a small percentage, but why risk upsetting the apple cart when you have it so well under controll?
