Should Mirena be taken more seriously?

Posted at 8:13 PM on Oct 23, 2009 by missnotimpressed, #11146
Its me again, and the more i am researching Mirena, the more its clearly very evident that there is something seriously wrong with it. I am considering writing to the health Department who authorize this so called "Birth Control". All medical practioners appear to be in total cahoots that Mirena cannot be responsible for these symptoms, and most postings on here refer to Doctors encouraging us gals to persevere with it and are reluctant to remove it, even when asked to do so!! What is that all about? Would they tell us to continue taking any other medication if we had such severe reactions? There are nearly 4,000 postings on here alone, many, many more on other sites..... This thing needs to come with some serious health warnings attached, otherwise i can possibly predict a hell of a lot of legal cases being brought to their attention. If anyone happens to feel the same perhaps collectively we should copy our concerns over to them to review, and see if their enthusiasm remains the same! Sorry for the rant, but reading all these postings about women and their wonderful unsuspecting partners and families being so seriously affected by this is quite alarming....
