side effects from Prednisone...

I have been on Prednisone for a few months now and there were times that I felt like I would have rather have died than be on that pill. It was really bad at first because they had the dose to high for me and I didn't take well to it however they lowered it and it wasn't as bad, ( or so I thought ). Anyway, I have gained 25 pounds and yes I have a moon face, I had the hair growth on my face too and I had to start buying cream to get rid of it. I hate it, plus I got really depressed about everything too. I really hate this my eye's are more blurred at night too and I have trouble sleeping to. I am getting weaned off but it seems the side effects are not much better maybe even worst, especially the acne. I am down to one pill a day now, I know I had to take it because I have vasculitis but it is really hard at times. Plus I have alot of pain in my legs and I'm not sure if it is from the Prednisone or if it my vasculitis. I will say one thing though it has done a good job so far of getting rid of the big spots on my legs, they are almost gone completely. But the doctors still don't know what caused it in the first place so it may come back, and I'll be on them again....here's to hoping I don't have too.
