Side Effects of Ativan

I was taking Ativan for about a month straight for anxiety that I was having prior to planning my wedding. Then after the wedding in May, I stopped suddenly taking the medicine. About 2 weeks after that I started experiencing terrible nerve pain. I felt a tingling sensation all over my body, my hair started falling out from the root, I developed bruises, bone and muscle pain with terrible muscle twitching/wasting. I also noticed some black spots on both hands and only one of my feet. I think these are side effects or maybe withdrawal symptoms but not sure. Has anyone had any terrible side effects from the drug? I've been to the ER 5 times in 2 months, and all the doctor's are saying that Ativan is a good drug with rarely any side effects. Rarely does not mean never but they won't give me a second look after having normal blood work. I don't know if the drug messed with my brain/nerve system or just what...thoughts???
