Side Effects of ICaps MV

Due to Beta Carotene and smoking, I switched from Centrum Silver to ICaps MV. After about 3 weeks, I developed flu-like symptoms such as lung congestion, runny nose, sneezing, itchy eyes and coughing. The strange thing is I did not feel sick as I would if I had the flu or even a cold. I stopped taking ICaps MV and after about another 3 weeks, the symptoms went away. I do not have allergies, so I blame ICaps for the side effects. Any solutions. I am planning on getting a prescription for Chantix as an aid to stop smoking.
