Sleeping issues & drowsiness

Posted at 4:20 PM on Feb 27, 2009 by slaks, #9263
I just started taking 150 mg of Bupropion (generic for Wellbutrin). I was taking it before bed which my pharmacist recommended because it can make you drowsy. I am getting up all the time in the middle of the night and not sleeping well. I called my dr's office and they said to take it the morning - however today I am so tired. Does this go away? Not sure when I should take it. I received 2 conflicting directions. Thanks S.

I started taking Wellbutrin about 2 yrs ago and I changed from Cymbalta. I was put on these class of antidepressants b/c I had depression symptoms that included low mood, sleeping too much and anxiety. I have been very pleased with Wellbutrin. I have lost 26 pounds, more energy and no more sleep problems. My energy level is up and I feel more like being involved in life again, unlike myself off of antidepressants.. I am happyly married and the other drugs were causing serious sexual side effects. I have no more problems in that area at all.
