My boy is 14 years old and has ADHD and his doctor recommended putting him on adderall but I am very hesitant . My question is that can I stop the drug after sometime ...are there side effects of doing so (stopping the drug) ?.

Unfortunately, most drs. are drug-happy, since that's all the know. . why to start taking a drug that cause side effects? There are many natural products/alternatives instead.

don't start him on it and then you won't have to worry about stopping it. boys are restless- its their nature. giving them drugs makes it easy on the teachers and makes the drug companies rich! who cares what it does to the children? change his diet. get him off all foods with additives, preservatives and artificial colorings (or artificial anything for that matter). no soda or sugar. lots of whole grains, fruits and vegetables. try that for a while and see if it doesn't work before going with drugs that can harm him
