My husband started taking zocor about a year ago, I noticed a difference in
his behavior but it was somewhat gradual. 2 weeks ago he went into a rage
screaming and yelling at me I scared to death I had seen him angry but nothing like this. He came back packed his stuff and had been gone for 2 weeks now. When I try to talk to him he keeps saying "he don't know what he feels anymore" he will not return any of his friends phones calls. When I started reading some of the side effects I now wonder if the zocor has something to do with it. He has complained about leg cramps, numbness,
back aches for a week or so but he dismissed the problem to something else. Has anyone experienced emotional issues? He tells me he don't have any feelings anymore. I even remember several months ago I was crying and he looked at me and said "oh stop that cry baby stuff" very hateful.
its like his brain is not processing emotions.
The answer to your question is YES. Emotional changes and outbursts are now associated with statin use. Also the other symptoms you mentioned are well established side effects of statin drugs. If you want your husband back, and back to his old personality, contact me. I will explain, and offer help. Bobby. TYler Texas.
