strange mental side effect after one week of 10mg Adderall XR

I am a 24 y/o female and was recently prescribed 10mg of Adderall XR to treat ADHD. I have been taking the medication for a week now and I felt great improvement with all of the ADHD symptoms that I have. Yesterday, I took my medication in the morning, around 9am. I was in classes all day and felt completely fine. In the afternoon, I was feeling somewhat tired while doing school work on the computer. I had a caffeine pill (equal to cup and half of coffee)...I probably should not have.. I had not really eaten anything, because I was busy at school in all my classes. But I still felt fine, and not tired anymore. During my last class, around 8pmish I felt like the medicine was kicking in again(possibly the 2nd release), which seems strange that the 2nd release would be so late in the day. After class, I still feeling fine. I went home, starting preparing dinner and began to feel very strange. Somewhat dizzy and faint, confused but also a little jittery. I laid down, which made me feel better. I also started to feel an increased sensibility to sound. By this time it was midnight, still felt the effects of the Adderall XR...long after I thought the medication's life. I was able to fall asleep a half an hour - 45 min after the onset of this episode. I feel tired this morning, but okay overall. Did the caffeine pills have an effect on the medication? what do you think . thanks.
