Suddenly stopped taking it ?

Posted at 5:47 PM on May 21, 2009 by fm1977, #9988
My mother was on Topamax for 3 months & the doctors started with low dosag of 25MG then increased it to 75MG but when he increased the dosage she started experiencing dizziness & frowziness so I searched the net I found that it is the side effect of Topamax & I asked her to stop taking it but since she stopped the pressure in her eyes has increased & now she is taking drops for that . Should she go back & take Topamax or not ?

as Topamax works as neuro-drug, it affacts the brain. As you can probably figure, it is a good idea to tritrate down and off it. Suddenly stopping a neuro-drug can be very unpleasant and dangerous. Best wishes for your mother, though. Hope she feels better soon. CC
