Taking Doxycycline Hyclate

I was prescribed it because the doctor thought i had bronchitis. The day after I started taking it, I had blood spotting in my underwear, and it has been there the whole time I been taking it for 10 days. I still have a little bit of spotting...and its been 12 days since I started taking it...Is this a normal side effect?
