Ultram and hepatitis C

My brother who is a 2 time cancer survivor gives me 2 of his tramadol once or twice a week because I have a lot of joint and muscle pain. I just found out that my joint and muscle pain is being caused by Hepatitis c genotype 2. My question is, will the tramadol be harmful to me to take for my pain with this condition?
