Vitamins and synthroid do they mix or not?

I just got my prescription renewed for synthroid. I saw a medical alert that you should take no vitamins until the medication has been in your system for four hours. Have you heard about this?

Hi. Yes, this applies to iron supplements or vitamins containing iodine. I don't know which others. I take a women's vitamin about 2 hours after my synthroid, but it contains no iron or iodine. There is something about calcium supplements, I believe. Maybe to be on the safe side, you can take your vitamin with lunch.

I read the same thing that calcium and iron supplements can alter its effectiveness. I take my multivitamin at lunch around noon that is about 6 hours after I take my synthroid. I was actually going to ask my PCP about this because my vitamin does have iron in it.
