Was Desogen discontinued this year?

I recently saw a gynecologist and he said that Desogen has been discontinued and switched me to Reclipsen. Since the pills are pricey I went to Planned Parenthood and they are still handing out Desogen by the bushel full.
Is Desogen good or bad when it comes to increased side effects, blood clots and particularly breast cancer???
