Oh yea, hun! I have been on 40 mg for over 3 1/2 years and have gained about 35 pounds. My fiance' came off it about a year ago and dropped 20-25 pounds within a couple of months. I am trying to come off it myself. But it is a long process to come off it. PLEASE don't do it alone or cold turkey!! That is asking for a nightmare! Wean yourself slowly - it is worth the time, I promise!

I've been on Paxil (30mg daily for 2 years) and I have had no weight gain at all, I didn't even gain weight in the beginning. My father takes the same dosage as me and he has not gained weight but lost it.

I took 30mg paxil from June 2000-July 21,2008. I gained 20 lbs each yr. I'm having a hard time dealing with all the side effects of just coming off the med. Jitters, headaches, anxiety, etc. I been told that taking Omega 3 fish oil will help. So I just started that 5 days ago. Hoping it will help me feel better. They say that taking CLA along with the fish oil will help with losing the wt gained by the med. (conjugated linoleic acid)
