I have been taking Wellbutrin XL for 19 days after coming off of Lexapro (gained 20 lbs in 3 months on that drug and I was feeling horrible about my physical self.
I started on 150mgs of wellbutrin and just increased to 300mgs. Any advice on side affects? I've been feeling sadness beyond my regular sadness and I am so irritable all the time. The light-headedness/dizziness was going away then I increased the dosage to 300mg and it is back...I assume it will go away again???
Any thoughts, suggestions would help.
I switched from cymbalta for the same reasons , I gained about 15 pounds and I could not get motivated to workout. I am now on wellbutrin and i get lightheaded all the time and nauseous, but I have gained my motivation back and since that I have been exercising so much more and it truly is making me feel so much happier. I know how hard it is to get out of the rut of sadness, but once your one foot out the door you will feel so much better getting one foot in the door on your recovery. I highly recommend walking a little bit every day or going to your nearest park, it really helps just to get your endorphins moving. I use to have horrible dizzy spells to the point that i had to sit down , no matter where i was, one thing that helps is keeping a regular eating schedule. Also i do not want to become dependent on drugs to fix one thing when i know in the end i will get some horrible side effect, so I started doing breathing therapy, basically learning how to calm your body and mind down through breathing correctly ,i know it sounds really corny, but if you take it serious enough and start concentrating on breathing in deeply with your nose and slowly blowing out with your mouth, Do that at least ten times , i promise you will be much more focused and relaxed, the dizziness is temporary.
