What to do

Posted at 12:12 PM on Jun 21, 2008 by twonittlerascals, #6478
My son is 10 and has been taking Concerta 18mg for almost 1 month. His school behaviour has greatly improved. He is much calmer and integrates better and his concentration and work have improved considerably. Even our home life is better. My only worries are that for the last 10 days we have seen a rapid decrease in weight, his appetite is far less than it used to be, he's tired all the time and falls asleep in class, he constantly complains about feeling dizzy and foggy and he seems sad. Does anyone have any advise for me??? Annabelle

is that a medication for depression or just behaviour problems?? i use to b like that growing up where if i was on the same med. for more then a few months my attitude would change. so what i had to do was lower the dosage a lil bit for a while. then up it again. its cause my system got to use to the meds. as if my body didnt need it anymore. u may have to switch him to a diff. med. but check with his dr. 1st. he could just need a higher dosage 2 idk. but u wanna also make sure he isnt sleeping all day and night non-stop. i was like that at age 12 for about a week straight. my mom couldnt even wake me up.
