whats happening to me.

I believe the AVERAGE is having tried 4 antidepressents before you find the one that is "right" for you. now that means that somebody gets lucky at #1 and somebody gets relief at #8... I think I am more like #8. it helps to have a good psychiatrist... some really suck (hey someone had to graduate bottom of the class). good ones are more then happy to switch you to a different drug - bad ones insist you continue to "hang in there"... the best one I had wanted me to call him 3 then 6 days after I started a new pill just to let him know how I was doing... you didnt say how long total you had been on the drugs... sometimes it is hard to tell which side effects are caused by which drug... it maybe that just one is a problem... I always try to start 1 at a time and if possible I ask the dr if I can start it at night so that I will be asleep for the side effects or worse case they will wear off by the time I have to go to work or I can call out sick - not be at work all messed up. if necessary call your local hospital and find out if they have a psychatrist on staff or is it the hospital in the next town (my town area had 4 hospitals but only one had a psych unit) because you are feeling a lot of side effects and want your friend to drive you in to see someone today. hope this hasn't reached you to late.

by the way celexa only worked for me at the max FDA allowed dosage... with the fabulous side effect of an overstimulted appetite gland. yippie. I like Wellbutrin (can still have and orgasm - all other anti depressents make this impossible). also effexor is very uplifting... but there are 2-3 days of crappy sleep to get thru so take some benadryl and start it on friday morning. you can also ask about the weak antidepressant you take at night that helps you sleep and has few side effects... just can't remember the name but you usually take it in addition to others... or teenagers take it.
