Remicade Living in Sweden, Hair Body, Infusions, Eyebrow, Uc

I'm 30 years old and getting Remicade infusions for UC and it helps. but two years ago after my 3rd injection I lost all my hair (body, head, eyebrow etc) in a period of 2-3 month, Alopecia Universalis. Living in Sweden. doctors said it is not a side effect......
Jac1 - My mother has begun to experience hair loss, and nowhere can she find that it is "officially" a side effect of Remicade, but that's the only treatment she has been taking.
Bluefaerie - My mommaLena just had a second reaction to a Remicade treatment... a week ago, a serious reaction and they stopped the treatment; doctor asked her to come back and try again with them administering is much slower--again it was stopped with a reacation of headache and chills. Next day, she had a sore throat and swelling, severe weakness--the doctor did not tell her her "strange" sore throat was thrush or a yeast infection, the pharmist told me (telling me it was important she take all the prescription for treatment of the sore throat). Today, 3 days after treatment reaction, she says her hair is coming out in hand fulls. Apparently this drug is very toxic and doctors are not disclosing side affects and/or severe potential risks to health. The pharmist I spoke with was "not surprised" when I told her momma had "had" a reaction to Remicade. Momma has an existing history of an immune disease and now researching to read "real stories" of side affects, I am appauld that any doctor would advise such a treatment with so many other health risks. She is in her 80's and feels she's been used like a guinepig... does not access the computer and asked me to research--I pray her side affects end here and now with no other more serious afflictions to come about. In view of the severe 1st reaction with her 3rd treatment, I am dismayed with the doctor encouraging her to go a 4th try. May our Angels watch over ALL who have taken this drug...and may WE all call UPON them to HELP us overcome and HEAL.

Dreatessis - I recently developed Alopecia Universalis after being on remicade. No doctors will officially say its the cause, but I KNOW it is. I stopped taking the medication and pray that my hair will come back. My hairloss speeds up after every infusion...its been a very slow process..not the norm of losing all hair in less than six months. Its been 20 months and i still have patchy hair loss over my entire body.
