Ankylosing Spondylitis

How effective is the medication REMICADE in the treatment of AS, "Ankylosing Spondylitis". I am 61 years old and have been diagnosed 3 years ago, but have had the back pains for years without the knowledge of having AS. I am thinking of going on Remicade, but SO MANY side effects, have stopped my decision.
