I've been on these two medications for approximately 6 years. Now everyone reacts differently to medication, I know that. The side effects that I had were very minor luckily. I lost my sex drive and had increase in hunger. It does balance my moods and I don't get upset quite easily. Hallucinations that are auditory and visual are decreased. I've had minimal hallucinations while on the med. I did take the XR version of Risperdal. It was a much higher dosage but I reacted horribly to it. I had severe chest pain, high cholesterol, dizziness but the upside was I didn't have a relapse.
