my grand child is almost 3 year old , he has been on singulair candy for almost 6 month , what we noticed is a noticeable change in his behavior in the form of nervousness , he turned cranky , recently his teacher reported that he is not him as before , his appetite in that good as before , he became nagging while he was a sweet child before singulair .

Hi there... I came off of yasmin just 2 weeks ago and thought I should share with you my story since yours is a skin issue. I took yasmin for 3 years. This past year I would wake up some bumps on my lip.. then on my hands.. then (this is over a period of months) I would wake up and have a slightly swollen lip... this was over the last year or so. I would also get a feeling in my throat, like something was in it and swallowing felt funny.
WELL, 2 weeks ago, I took my bc like I always do, right before I go to bed and my lip starts to tingle and itch.. and in the morning my face was swollen 3x the normal size on on side, mostly at the lips... I couldn't really talk.. it was like those awful photos on google. It was angiodema and can kill you by swelling of the throat. I had also for about a year- an ear issue.. it would sound like I was talking under water and felt like swimmer's ear- related to the swelling I found out later. Turns out I'm allergic. I developed this allergy over the period of time I was exposed.
I just want to say to anyone out there that has FACIAL/LIP SWELLING, or swelling of the hands... GO TO THE ER. It can kill you. I got lucky.. my swelling started slow and after about a year if was full blown. It is not something to mess around with!I was prescribed an epi pen. I developed an allergy to a preservative in it and I'm not an allergen sensitive person. That was just the parms/doc guess I might add.
The first year I took yasmin I had numb and tingling toes. and the whole tie I've had on and off leg pain.. no sex drive, that's the truth..definite bloating issues about 6 lbs weight gain, sometimes more without change in diet. I haven't noticed any hair loss thankfully. Migraines. Lots of nausea in the morning, every morning like morning sickness. Car sick even when driving.. not normal! I used to work on an airplane and I never got motion sickness.
I'm now on day 4 of Mirena IUD and I'm having having severe diarrhea and trouble sleeping.. I really, really don't want to get pregnant. Our next step is a vasectomy for the hubby. I'm 25 and I weigh 140 5'10 if that helps. I wasn't an 'at risk' like the pamphlet said.

I took TraceLyte and unfortunately helped me to cure my cancer.
I was counting on that cancer to keep paying for somebody's Mercedes.

I have been taking Armour for a couple of weeks now and although I feel better my hair and eyelashes are falling out in massive amounts. I read side effects online and it said this should stop after awhile. Does my hair grow back normal then or is it permanently thinner?

Well, I have one side effect I haven't seen anyone mention. My breasts feel weird, like they did at the beginning of my pregnancy. I've been trying to figure out a way to explain the way it feels, and its a combination of when I had a yeast infection in my breast while breast feeding (not nearly as painful though) and the way they felt when I was in my first few weeks of pregnancy. I also have constant cramping, its not terrible, but constant. Then I've also had joint pain in my hips, I've woke up in the middle of the night with my hands asleep. And you can't even imagine the weight problems I've had. I weighed 180 two days before I had my twins, 160 when I came home from the hospital, 135 in January, and now I'm 175. If I gain 5 more lbs I'll weigh as much as I did 8 months pregnant with twins. I've tried dieting and I still keep gaining. Then my DH also says that I am not the same person. He was the reason I started looking into side effects because he told me one night that I've changed since I got the IUD and it is making me crazy. I thought he was crazy, that it was just because I had babies and more on my plate now, but then I thought that maybe he was right, that my moodiness and weird feelings combined could all be from the BC. Then I started researching. There are too many woman posting problems with the Mirena. I think it should be taken off the market (and they should pay for everyone to have it removed). If you go to Google and just search for Mirena IUD, don't include side effects or problems, just type in "Mirena IUD", you will get an official site, a couple of drug websites, and the others are sites for side effects. That should tell you something. There's even an support forum.

I'm 36 and I've been on Loestrin24 FE for almost two years. I used to have very heavy and painful periods. And thanks to Loestrin my periods are shorter, and very light. My concern now is that this is the third period I miss. There's no way I could be pregnant and my pregnancy test came out negative. I still feel a little anxious that I'm not having my period, and I would blame that to my current emotional state. I called the doctor's office and they said is normal to miss periods with this pill and have no periods at all. In my case I rather keep taking the pill, having painful periods was much worse. I didn't gain weight, I think is actually helping me keep a healthy weight, my mood swings were worse before, and my skin has improoved (I used to have dark spots and they cleared after a few months of use) Loestrin has been a life saver for me. I still wish I get my period though.

I suffer from severe endometriosis, and occasionally, if something goes awry, I have terrible cramping. The pain is extremely intense and has caused me to pass out. I have tried several medications, some narcotic, some non, and some naturopathic. I would say that Dilaudid is the best I've tried. Not only does it do a wonderful job of getting rid of pain, it also seems to be easier on the stomach than other opiates in its class, and causes less side effects. Of course, highly addictive such as other narcotics, but if taken only when needed it is a lifesaver.

I have been taking lisinopril for more than 5 years now and just happened upon this site the other day. After reading all the posts I was amazed to see so many others describe the same side effects that I have had for years now, ie) pain in my chest and left arm that has led me to think I am having a heart attack. I have had 3 EKGs over the past several years and every time it was normal but the pain has persisted and to the point of not being able to sleep at night and constantly wondering if I am having a heart attack, it has been incredibly frustrating!!! So when I found this site I was very relieved to know that I am not alone here. I have also recently discovered a natural product that has helped many lower their BP, it is called Pro-Argi9 Plus, you can check it out at this link, saveaheartwithmarkandang.mysynergy.net, it could change your life as it has for many.

I have had two shots of Lupron, as a result I've gained almost 30lbs, had very bad joint pains and little hot flashes. I also experienced hair loss and became moody at times. However, my doctor did warn me that I would gain weight as a result of the shot and that I may experience hot flashes. December 2009 will make one year since my first shot the second shot was in April and I"m just beginning to feel normal again. It is now November 2009

It has been interesting for me to read this posts. I have been wondering about the long term side affects to singulair- mostly because my 11 year old has been on Singulair for several years now. We spent many of nights in the ER for asthma when he was little and no Dr. did testing. When he was 5 his pediatriction tested him for allergies and put him on Singulair. We have had a great experience with it. I find it interesting that many of the health issues on here- joint pains, bouts of depression, weight gain...I personally experience all of them and i am not on any medication. My 11 year old does not experience any of the mentioned side affects. I wanted to find out long term side affects for my own personal knowledge. Prior to Singulair, he was on Zyrtec which was not a good fit.

SIX HOURS POST REMOVAL- I had my mirena removed today after 3 years and nearly 3 months. My side effects included headaches, sore breasts, weight gain, nausea, severe hair loss, depression, severe pitting edema of my right foot, cramping, hip pain, exhaustion, severe mood swings, and acne. During the first six months I had constant bleeding, which I had been told to expect. I took regular pills everyday and the bleeding stopped. Then the hair loss started. My hair came out in clumps and was EVERYWHERE. I lost about 15 inches of my hair in spots. I went to the salon and got a fantastic hair cut, I attributed my hair loss to stress. Now I'm not too sure. I also didn't feel like I was myself with the odor that I developed. No matter how many times I showered I felt not regular. Slowly but surely over the past three years I have gained 30 lbs. I worked out to try to get the weight off, I lost nothing and in fact gained weight! The pitting edema of my left foot started in July of 08. I have been tested for everything including diabetes, heart problems, clotting disorders, pregnancy, high blood pressure, kidney problems, and the list goes on to the tune of $6,000. I went to my OB back in the spring and was told if they could find nothing else then they would remove the IUD. In the interim I lost my job and subsequently my insurance. I luckily was able to get coverage again and immediately set an appointment for the removal. Insertion hurt like nothing I have ever experience, removal was quick and almost painless. I also ended up with BV (bacterial vaginosis). I feel and look as though I am about 6 or 7 months pregnant. My belly is actually the same size as it was when my son was born. I weight about 15 lbs more. My breasts were extremely swollen and sore.
I instantly felt better after removal. My hip immediately stopped tingling. I have no back pain. It felt almost like a lifting if that makes sense. I am curious to see what the next few weeks will bring and I will definitely keep you all posted.

I'm a 56 year old male. I'm taking pred as a trial therapy for CIDP, which can be described as MS "lite". The treatment has been three days of one gram per day methylprednisolone infusion, followed, for the rest of the month, by 20 mg prednisone a day. Then another three days of infusions, etc. It's called "pulse treatment." Side effects have been a bit of insomnia, mainly during the three-day period of infusions, feeling a little hyper, slightly hoarse voice, huge appetite. I seem to be able to control these rather well, and haven't gained weight, so far. I'm told I look a little flushed, but don't have a Barry Bonds face, noy yet anyway. The two side effects that have been problematic: Flatulence. Ever read Confederacy of Dunces? I feel like Ignatius O'Reilly. The most problematic has been the urge to pee, which is most intense a couple of days after the infusions are complete. It's really intense for two or three days, then subsides a bit, but still makes me get up in the middle of the night, something that I've only rarely experienced before. Tests for urinary tract infection are negative. Will do this treatment for a few more months and then get spinal tap and EMG test to see if there's an improvement. Haven't noticed any so far, but that's expected.

The CDC/FDA has announced that Tylenol Kills LIVERS ( Acetaminophen is it’s fancy name). Tylenol is one of the safest medicines ever created IF taken as directed on the package for TEMPORARY uses. It’s safer than aspirin. BUT, BUT, BUT, it is used in many medicines. If ANY medicines you are using have the strength written as XX / XXX Example: 50/500 or 25/1000 stop taking them.
Check the Food and drug administration or the Center for Disease Control web sites. Then ask your doctor to change you to a drug that doesn’t have any Tylenol in it. The second number, the one after the slash, is the amount of Tylenol added to each pill.
Many drug manufactures use Tylenol with their medications as a buffer. It is safe to the stomach so combined with their medication it also becomes easier on the stomach.
A very bad scenario.. say you are prescribed 50/1000 of a anti-inflammatory drug, three times a day. Take an adult dose of Nyquil every 12 hours-- that's 2000mg more Tylenol from the Nyquil. Then take a couple extra strength Tylenol for some pain. That could be another 1000Mg up to 4 times a day.
OTHER THINGS with Acetaminophen (Tylenol).Excedrin, Midol, Pamprin, Vicodin, Percocet, and many more.
Also, Liquor and Alcohol hurt your liver.
Don’t kill yourself be careful with this stuff.
J. H.
P.S. Copy and pass this around.
