I am not prescribed adderall and I don't even have ADHD or ADD. I am a 20 year old college student, and I heard on a Dateline show on TV about students abusing Adderall and other ADD medicine's while they are in college. I will take a 20 or 30mg Adderall and then it will keep me awake and alert so that I can stay up all night studying. It is a great way for me to be able to stay up and study, write papers, and then not have to sleep and be able to go to work and school the next day. The first time I took the Adderall was about a week ago, and I have taken it almost everynight since. I have probably slept 30 hours in the last 7 days. It is a stimulate and acts like speed if you don't have ADD, but it will calm children down who do have ADD. I just think that it is a great way for college students to concentrate on their school work and be able to stay up all night! Oh, the only down side that I've had for taking Adderall is that I will start to hallucinate and see bugs crawling on my arms or hands, but I'm not sure if this is a side effect of the Adderall or is just a side effect of having no sleep.

My 4year old grandson has been on 20mg adderall Xr for aprox 2 months .. It has helped with his hyperness but soon after taking the drug he becomes emotionl and completely beligerant. He acts out and screams at you. This goes on for hours. Ive discussed this with doctor and he wants to up the dose.. Almost afraid to. Dont want to think that grandson could get anymore beligerant. He was hyper before the meds not beligerant. Where can I go to find more on this.?
