I have had COPD for years and treated with daily prednisone and Foradil but I wanted to come off prednisone so used Symbicort and Spiriva and was doing good until a new doctor put me on Advair 250/50 and my body went to h... I had terrible bronchitis with hacking cough for 5weeks, noise when on exhaling, severe leg pain, blurred vision, flu like symptoms and harder to breathe. Came off off Advair and felt better the next day. Saw another doc who yelled at me for stopping it but by the weekend I couldn't walk 5feet and this was using my oxygen machine. Stopped Advair and saw my regular doc so I'm back to my original meds and recovering. Yes, I think doctors get a kick-back and yes, there should be a class action suit.

I am a part-time professional singer and attorney. I developed an odd cough-variant asthma this winter at age 42 -- it had scary breath shortness and wheezing plus lots of phlegm coughed up. I had never before had the shortness/wheezing/asthma, though I have always had allergies and occasional bronchitis following a cold. The asthma/allergy specialists put me on Advair 500 twice a day with each attack, plus an oral prednisone burst/short taper, nebulized (not just rescue inhaler) albuterol (beta 2 agonist), and antibiotics (a different one each time). I also take Claritin, Rhinocort and Astelin for my allergies. I had four attacks of asthma this winter that were treated this way; after the fourth, they put me on Advair 250 maintenance for a month. With each attack, I would get hoarse, have trouble sleeping, and get odd muscle cramps I never had had. The hoarseness was worse each time, but I was able to sing through it at my regular gigs. I attributed the side effects to the prednisone. With my fifth attack, they told me to ramp up the Advair to 500 and do all else the same, but as an experiment to see how this would alter those side effects, I decided to treat it with everything but the prednisone. The hoarseness, sleep trouble, and muscle cramps were all much worse. I found this site, noted the recommendation of several other singers to try Asmanex instead of Advair, and asked the docs about it. They agreed that all these symptoms could be related to the Advair and gave me Asmanex 250 twice/day instead instead of the Advair, plus all the other meds for the attack. The symptoms went away within a week, although it took a little longer for me to get over the asthma attack this time. I am extremely grateful to this site and all the users posting comments. I can sing again, sleep again, and exist without weird muscle cramps during treatment of my asthma. Thank you very much.

I have been on Advair 250/50 for 5 years for asthma. I'm a 48 year old female. I have experienced severe hoarsness and my voice is rough sounding. Some days I am so hoarse that others have a hard time understanding me. I have had 5 kidney stones in the last 5 years, never had one before taking Advair. I had the last one a month ago and it was so large I had to have surgery. I experience nausea about once a day. I seem to always have a headache. I feel tired all of the time. Over the last year I have developed high blood pressure. I have gained 20 pounds. I have rashes on my upper arms that comes and goes. I experience mood swings. The Advair does control my asthma, but these side effects are too much anymore, especially the hoarseness. I am going to ask my doctor for other solutions.

Paper-thin skin on arms, hair falling out by the handfuls, clotting problems with the slightest scrape on my arms, bruising on my legs. Going to go back to Advair 250/50 and see if these problems go away.

I have been on Advair 250/50 off and on for a couple of years. When I take the dose I get a smothering feeling that last for about l5 minutes. I also have cramps in my legs and feet.. Another side effect I think is bruising very easily. If I barely touch something I get big red bruises. Does anyone else have the problem with bruising. Am going to try to get off Advair completely.

I am a 61 year old male and I have COPD with 40% loss in lung function. My allergist started me on Advair 250/50 a couple of years ago. As I was still having trouble with shortness of breath, my internist put me on Spiriva, also. Breathing got easier, but I was experiencing a number of symptoms.

The one that clued me into knowing something in the medicine was bothering me was bright red eyes. Also focus problems and blurry vision. My ophthalmologist found no reason for the eye condition. So I also looked at some other symptoms I had: Severe muscle cramping if any muscle was contracted; severe lower back pain after walking only 5 minutes; hoarseness; loss of voice; Extreme weight gain (55 pound in 1-1/2 years), all in my middle; bloating and tooth/gum problems that were nonexistent 2 years ago; BPH symptoms (poor urine stream, difficulty emptying and many nighttime bathroom visits with normal prostate & PSA tests). E.D.

Whoa! What’s going on here? So I began stopping all my drugs one at a time for one week. Just got to the Advair yesterday and my eyes have already almost returned to white. My hoarseness is almost gone. Was it the power of autosuggestion? Somehow, I don’t think so. This drug works, but one has to balance the side effects with the help it provides. I’m going to try just using my albuterol inhaler and stay off these steroids.

Good luck to you all!

I was just researching the effects of going off of Advair and stumbled across this website...thank goodness! I was rather shocked to hear all of the symptoms that I have been experiencing and have really been bothering me lately, to the point that I have been considering going to see my doctor to see if there was something wrong with me.

I have had asthma all my life (now 29) and have been on Advair 250, 4 puffs a day for the past 2 years solid, with no breaks. During this time i've been in and out of the hospital and at times, this amount of Advair has not been enough to keep my asthma under control.

As mentioned in a few other posts, I have been getting sick of taking my meds and have woken up some mornings feeling absolutely fine. Just this week I stopped taking my meds and I'm now on day 5 with no meds. However, the little side effects i've been experiencing are very weird. First and far most...my face has been swollen and I have a ton of tiny little pimples all over my face and neck that are itchy and red. I don't think that people can notice them, except for the redness, but it is very uncomfortable.

Has anyone else gone off of Advair after been on for a long time and experienced any side effects?

Does anyone know if anyone has experienced an itchy head (scalp and forehead) with small pimples or something like that? Terribly itchy, and started after starting Advair, but have no way of knowing if related. Does anyone know?

So nice to see that I'm not just imagining the adverse reactions. I've been taking Advair 250/50 for about 3 weeks now after being diagnosed with asthma/chronic bronchitis. I went back to my doctor the following week because I was still having chest pain, back pain, felt as if I still wasn't getting enough oxygen and mentioned that I was having a lot of difficulty with being jittery. He evaluated my breathing with a peak flow meter and since that seemed to be OK, he wanted to do an EKG - which he did and seemed to see something that warranted a referral to a cardiologist. So far the cardiologist has not seen anything out of the ordinary.
I'm thinking more and more that there is nothing wrong with my heart and that this is all being caused by the Advair. Has anyone else been referred to a cardiologist and found out nothing was wrong?

I have been on Advair 250/50 for approx 4 yrs. I am 47 now. I Know I have to take the medicine for my COPD every 12 hrs. If not, I have difficult time breathing. I had leg cramps in the beginning, but not too much now. The problem that is most bothersome now is low back pain. Not sure if I have osteoporosis setting in, or it is just a side effect. I am always coughing up mucus. My shoulders, arms, and legs, are very sore to the touch. Feels like someone has come up and slugged me, and that is just from a finger touch.
I know I cannot get off of the Advair, If does help my breathing, but I also know the consequences if I do not take it. Almost like my life line.
Does anyone else feel this way?

I was on advair 250/50 for six months initially with no problems. Started it again 6 months later and the side effects began. The first night I experienced a stabbing pain in one wrist. The wrist became painful and weakened. The pain subsided but then there was a throbbing pain in my breast bone. That went on for about 1 month. Stopped the advair and it went away. Unfortunately, I was relying heavily on my rescue inhaler again so I resumed the Advair. This time I experienced neck and shoulder pain. I quit Advair about a month ago. I still have some neck and shoulder pain and swelling. I bought a cleanse from the Garden of Life Company today in an effort to get rid of any Advair that may still be in my system. Hope it works.

My wife ran a 102 fever in June while traveling.. Took her to emergency room. They said she had pneuomonia, gave her antibiotics and inhaler.
Follow up doctor said she had COPD and prescribed Advair 100.
Returned to home and visited Respiratory dr. He put her on predisone (8 down to 1 5mg tablet over a week) and 4 weeks of Advair 250. After 2 weeks she started running 102 fever, reduced to 99.6 with Ibuprofine. She is tired, has a bad dry chest cough and has had bad diahera. Will take her to Dr monday and have stopped using Advair.

I've always had problems with leg cramps but now, since I've started taking Advair, every muscle in my body cramps -- BADLY. So I'm done, I'm going to call the doctor Monday a.m. & tell him I've stopped the medication. I just thought it was a fluke and I was having a bad time (have done that), but since getting on here and seeing that other people have had this problem, I'm sure it's the Advair. Occassionally I've forgotten a dose & the cramps have gotten better. So now I'm putting 2/2 together. As much as Advair has helped my cough, it's put me in so much pain I can't get one hrs. sleep before I have to jump out of bed and try walking a cramp out, during the day my back, arms, hands, chest, stomach muscles are all cramping painfully while I'm trying to work.

I started taking advair in September of 2006 after being diagnosed with allergy related asthma. I took it for 3 months. Then stopped for a few months over the winter and restarted in spring because of more serious symptoms of asthma. I have had severe stomach upset, acid reflex, rashes, and weight gain. I also feel dizzy a lot. I am very health consious and work out all of the time. I never gain weight so it seems obvious to me advair is the culprit. I am going to try getting allergy shots and see if I can stay off the advair. In home air filters do seem to help with the asthma

My husband was given a sample of this for a month-long bout of bronchitis and we are now thinking it has done permanent damage to his vocal chords. He only used it 5 times, got thrush (yeast infection) in his throat and is still hoarse after a week of being off of it. Does anyone know the history of this drug and has the word "class action lawsuit" crossed anyone's mind besides mine? I am amazed at the way pharmaceutical companies run the healthcare business in this country!

I don't want to go off on a rant here, but are people aware that a large portion of the FDA's operating budget is provided by pharmaceutical manufacturers? This isn't our first experience with this type of thing and I'm about to launch a grassroots campaign to educate the public. Maybe they'll stop believing all the marketing hype.

I'm thinking that the pharmaceutical companies ought to heed the Hippocratic oath - FIRST, DO NO HARM. Wouldn't it be a remarkably different world if they would take all the money they're spending on marketing and use it to lower the price of orphan and AIDS drugs? They keep saying that research is expensive - and advertising on every possible television show, radio and magazines is cheap? Hello? Are we going to be sheep or are we going to be citizens and hold these companies responsible for what they're doing. Thanks for letting me vent. Please contact me if you want to do something about this. And no, I'm not an attorney, but I'm a writer and I think I just found out what my first book is going to be about...

I have been on Advair 250/50 since it was allowed in the USA. I also take Spiriva. I told my pulmonary doctor last October that I would like a lower dosage. Now I am on 100/50. The side effects have not dimished and I am getting scared. My skin has aged and the forearms are like goosepumps. Just diagnosed with cataract in one eye and I was told I have severe osteoporosis. I have COPD, the reason for taking Advair. I now have HIVES. I do not suggest anyone try Advair. It is a killer. Tomorrow I have an appointment with my regular doctor for the hives and I am going to inquire about getting off Advair. I don't know if I need any other medication? I use oxygen at night when I go to bed (concentrator). When I was working I didn't need the oxygen during the day but I know I have a lot of anxiety which leads to depression. I have small canisters of oxygen in case I need it. When I get upset, I can use it but notice I recover on my own.

I am a 47 yr. old female. I have been taking Advair 250 for several months and have been sick for about 2 of the them. I get a flu-like feeling once a week. I cannot move. I also have trouble sleeping, sore throat, headaches, ear pain, weight gain, all of which I was not experiencing prior to this medicine. It took me a while to figure out what was bothering me. I am going to the doctor this week to change this medication.

Several months ago, my doctor switched me off of Pulmicort and onto Advair 250/50, in addition to the Singulair and Zyrtec that I take. Yep, an asthmatic with allergies...ain't life great?

At first, Advair did control my symptoms better, as I was able to excercise without feeling chest tightness. However, other side effects, such as an extremely dry throat, and hoarsness to the point of pain while talking--let alone singing--has occured. I've also noticed increased tightness in my throat, and weight gain. Now, I had a fairly sedentary lifestyle before, but always maintained the same steady weight.

These side effects are extremely troublsome for me, because I am a professional singer! Since taking it, I have lost the upper part of my register, and have pain while singing anything more than a few bars. My doctor has decided to lower my dose and send me to an EMT, however, my pharmacist thinks I should switch back to Pulmicort. My sypmtoms were not as well controlled, but at least I could function.

I know I don't like the feeling and after reading other responses regarding Advair, I will contact my doctor. I actually decreased my initial dosage. I was supposed to use it twice daily, but I had muscle tremors after two doses.

OMG!! I thought I was losing my mind untiil I read a post here with my symptoms. Sensations of heat and cold at the same time. Very cold and body temp below 97 degrees. Have been on Advair 250/50 for about 2 years. Shortly afterwards, started having low thyroid and hard to maintain weight. Used to be on Albuteral, Atrovent and Pulmocort. Have emphysema along with asthma component. It is hard to breathe for about 30 min after taking Advair. Want to go back to my old meds, or at least try something different like Foradil, maybe.

I have been on Advair 250/50 for about 2 years. About 6 months ago I started experiencing feelings of heat on my back....like hot/cold clammy feeling. Hard to explain. My skin feels cool to the touch even when I feel like I am burning up. I feel more or less normal when I wake up and then progressively get these sensations of heat as the day progresses. The steroid in the Advair makes it hard to keep my weight where it should be. Before I was on Advair, I was on Albuteral inhaler, Atrovent and Azmacort. I notice, too, that immediately after inhaling Advair, it is hard to breathe for about 30 minutes. Hoarse voice comes and goes. I think I will try to go back to my previous meds or maybe ask if I can go on Foradil and another type of inhaled steroid as I have a strong asthma component with my Emphysema.

I am having the same symptons as the entry on Mon.13 Nov 2006. I have had all the same test and medicines. My throat is horrible. It feels so swollen and thick in the back. I constantly chew gum. Sometimes, especially at night I feel that my throat will completely close up and I will not breath. I have had several test for GERDS since I have a lot of burping and gurgling sounds. All were negative. I am taking Advair 250/50. I really feel that this is my problem, but don't know how to get off because of the asthma flare-ups that I will have when I try to quit.
These symptons have been going on for at least 1 and 1/2 years and only getting worse. It feels as if there is a 50 cent piece in the back of my throat when I swallow. One of my favorite pastimes was singing. That is totally out of the question now. I am going to visit my regular doctor today and discuss getting off of the Advair.

People complaining about sore throat - the packaging says to wash your mouth and throat out after you take the medication. I started at Advair 50, then went to Advair 250, and today I'm on advair 500. The doctor said he's serious about washing my mouth out immediately after taking the medication. He said it can cause your voice to get all hoarse, or cause a yeast infection in my throat.

I was on advair 250/50 for about 4 years. It worked pretty well for me. My symptoms pretty much went away. I went off it about 6 months ago, and for the most part am still doing pretty good. I'm wondering how long do the residual effects of the drug stay with you? I'm talking about the desired asthma-reducing effects of the drug, not side effects. I've heard it could be up to 8 weeks. Anyone know?

I began taking Advair 250/50 in 1999. I was convinced Advair was a miracle because it worked so well and eliminated the need for a fast acting inhaler within the first few days. However, now 7 years later, I am beginning to have side effects. When they first started, my doctors told me it couldn't be the Advair. According to the doctors, I should have had symptoms initially, not after years of taking it. So, I dealt with the side effects for a year until asking to be taken off of it.

I gained 20 pounds in 5 months (very rare for me to gain weight at all), mostly in the mid section. I feel dizzy all the time, throat hoarseness and voice feels strained when I talk. My eyes are constantly uncomfortable and sensitive to light, and I have frequent headaches. I feel more irritable and shakey when I get hungry than ever before. Often nauseous. I recently developed PVC's and a heart murmur and almost daily have a racing heart and PVC's. The final straw was when I found the correlation between taking my nightly dose and immediately feeling anxious with racing thoughts, tense muscles (especially in legs), and complete inability to sleep for hours until the medicine wears off.

I have now been off the Advair for 3 days, and have switched back to Flovent only. However, I am still experiencing the muscle tension, racing thoughts, and inability to sleep at night directly after taking the Flovent as well. The symptoms wear off a few hours later and only occur directly after taking the night time dose. I am wondering if the Advair has caused some permanent damage.

I am a 42 yro who has been using Advair 250/50 for over a year now. The Doc prescribed 2 puffs a day but I prefer to take 1 puff every day (shhhh...don't tell the doc!). Before going to Advair I was taking albuterol inhaler on an as needed basis (allergy/exercise induced asthma). I am not sure if its old age, or me moving from NE to the SE USA (where its hot & humid), or Advair itself but I am noticing that I am getting more and more dependent on Advair to the point where If I don't take my once-a-day-puff, I find myself starting to wheeze. I was never like this with Albuterol. Sometimes I wonder if there is a chemical in Advair that makes you become dependent on it just so the drug company can make more profit on your depenency. The other two minor side effects that I attribute to Advair is the occasional hoarsness in my voice, and a minor tingling sensation in my arm and leg (Restless Leg Syndrome?) at night. Anyone else can make a connection between Advair and RLS?

I don't smoke, drink caffine free drinks, athletic, and work out regularly, and take no other medications or vitamins.

I have been taking advair 250/50 twice a day since September. I am experiencing oral ulcers in the roof of my mouth even though I gargle for at least 1 minute and then brush my teeth after every application. I've had a yeast infection. I also am having really intense muscle stiffness, my toes and calves and hands routinely stiffen up, you can see them moving apart. It happens about 6 times a day.

I have been on Advair 250/50 for 2 years now and it has been a MIRACLE drug for me. I have moderate/severe asthma, diagnosed at 11 and now I'm 43. I was constantly taking puffs from my albuterol inhaler and now I rarely use it. I was initially prescribed Advair 2x/day but reduced to once a day because I felt "jittery" on 2x/day. Occasionally, I get some hoarseness but it's the Kathleen Turner sexy kind of hoarseness, so I don't mind. I have never had any adverse side effects from this drug other than the jitters but that was gone once I went to 1 dose a day. I also take Singulair for asthma.

This website is wonderful! I finally have peace thanks to being off Advair and knowing that all those dreadful symptoms were side effects of Advair.
I have been on ASMANEX now for 29 days and haven't misssed my life before on Advair. When I was on Advair, my asthma was not in control. I used my inhaler at least 2X/day, I was panting when I exercised, my asthma woke me up at night and my leg cramps kept me from falling asleep for many hours every night.
I was on Advair 250/50 and felt awful. I now take ASMANEX 220mcg only once per day; before I go to bed and my asthma is in control. I am taking 280 mcg LESS of steriod than when I was on Advair and no Serevent and I feel better than I ever have!
It's amazing b/c I tried Advair 100/50 and it didn't work for me at all but ASMANEX(mometasone) is much more effective.
I have been waiting for this drug to come on the market for some time (it is the same drug as Nasonex just like Flovent is the same drug as Flonase) b/c I have horrible allergies which flares my asthma and I have found that Nasonex (mometasone) was far superior for clearing nasal congestion than Flonase so I assumed it (Asmanex) would work great for asthma too and I was right.
As a matter of fact Nasonex works so well compared to Flonase that at the moment it is pollen season and I don't even feel like I have allergies. Now that is amazing.

At almost 33, I have only known I had asthma for 1 week. My primary care doctor gave me Advair 250/50 and Albuterol. First of all it does not seem to get rid of the problem. Second what an idiot the doctor is - I won't let them weigh me at the office due to life long eating issues and they give me a freaking medicine which makes everyone gain weight! I have gained 3 pounds in a week and I am not eating anything. I want to throw it out the window, but then I just had an attack and could not breathe. This is torture, and there must be a better solution. I have an appointment with a specialist next week, so hopefully I will find one.

I am 20 years old and have been on Advair 250/50 for 5 days. Already I am experiencing extreme fatigue, a sort of spacy, hypnotic feeling, anxiety, depression, mood swings, dry mouth, thick phlegm, constant throat clearing and it is ruining my life. I'm in a tap dance company and have not been able to perform even simple rountines. It has also placed a strain on my relationship with my boyfriend due to the mood swings, depression and increased irritability. I am harder to be around and he doesn't understand why. I am so glad I checked this site. I thought I was going crazy.

I started taking advair 500/50 about 6mths ago after coming down with really bad cold which later turned into pneumonia. I was on albuterol inhaler 5-6times a day for 3 mths. The advair made a big difference. I'm now on the 250/50 which is great. But I've had increasing problems with anxiety as well as muscle spasms in my hands. My doctor immediately recommended anxiety meds instead even entertaining the idea that it might be the drugs I was on. I refused to take anxiety meds and instead on her recommendation started exercising regularly and have started seeing a phychologist. I also tried Singulair briefly but developed rash on my face and had sudden cold symptoms which went away once I stopped taking it. I'm not crazy, my side effects are real and I'm convinced that the muscle spasms are due to my medication, most likely the advair. Currently I'm on rhinocort, albuterol for emergencies, and advair 250/50. I also had allergy testing done and am very allergic to everything they test for except animal dander i.e. grass and tree pollen, ragweed, mold, both kinds of dust mites. I keep taking my meds, exercising, cleaning regularly, have encased my bedding to control dust mites. I'm also taking allergy shots every week now. The thrush can be avoided if you rinse after every dose of advair. Rinsing is very important - I've had no problems with thrush at all and am now in my 7th month of taking Advair.

I am on Advair 250/50 and I want to QUIT NOW. At first it worked great, still does on my asthma, but for the past month, I have gotten so jittery, nervious, snappy and my heart rate at resting is racing at 115-120 bpm! I hate feeling like im about to drop dead. Ive called my doctor and am begging him to switch me to flovent instead. Flovent doesnt have the salmetrol and Im sure its the salmetrol that is causing my crazy jitters. I have cut my dosage to one a day and I hope that my Monday I will be off it altogether.

I started Singular a month ago and added Advair 250 to it 2 weeks ago, and stopped using the Singular. I noticed slight weight gain with the Singular and rapid weight gain with the Advair, overall 10 lbs in a month. I've maintained the same weight for many years, and am a fitness instructor, nothing else had changed in my lifestyle. I've also noticed muscle heaviness, and muscle soreness, chest heaviness when climbing stairs, extreme nervousness, anxiety, and sore, sore throat. After 13 days I quit the Advair entirely. I will pursue more conservative methods of controlling my asthma. I'm not convinced these steroid concoctions are the way to go.

I started taking advair since this fall. i was really sick with cheat cold, sore throat, stuffy nose the works. I did not have the flu shot so naturally, having asthma, my symptoms were worse. I had about 6 asthma attacks before taking Advair 250/50. I sent to an asthma doctor nhe recommended this to me. Yes it helped. I still had about 3 asthma attacks while i was sick.

What i noticed was voice loss: squeaky voice, straining. I just thought it was me being sick. when i got better i noticed my breathing more. It takes me so long to eat or drink everything! It feels like there is pressure on my chest or the need to burp in order for me to feel better. I continue eating and it starts again. I didnt understand it at first but now i do. It has to be advair becuase i never elt like i had to burp so bad and stop doing my normal tasks.

I try to take Advair 1 everyday instead of twice a day. Today my sibling seen on the news that Advair is causing more deaths then helping asthmatics.

SO SHOULD I STOP TAKING IT ALTOGETHER? OR SWITCH TO SOMETHING ELSE? IF SO WHAT?

I've been on Advair 250 for about 6 months now and have gained alot of weight. I don't have any throat problems, as I was told that you must rinse your mouth after taking the medication. The last week, I started to think that it was the Advair that might be causing the Weight Gain that is causing me to feel Miserable!!!!!! How do I get off of the Advair. I read that you just don't stop it, so I gather that you have to wean yourself off???? Karla

It has been just amazing reading these posts. I'm headed to my allergist to discuss other options and I wanted to be as educated as possible before hand because I feel for sure he's going to think I'm crazy.

I took Advair 250 for the first half of last year and I notice weight gain and feeling lethargic. I thought the lethargy was just normal stress. In September my dose was bumped to 500 and by November I was so depressed I started seeing a therapist. I kept asking her "Why is this happening to me now?? I have no reason to be here!" She gave me all the typical answers about clinical depression.

We went skiing over the holidays and I forgot my disk. I noticed immediately that I felt better. Happy for the first time in months. I thought it was because I was on vacation. When we returned, I started my dose again and guess what??? Within 3 days I could barely get out of bed again - and that's when it hit me - this wasn't mental. It came on so quick and was so contrary to my mental state that it was literally like getting sick. I suddenly made the connection and threw that stupid disk in the trash. I immediately started feeling better and I'm saving a ton of money on bills from the shrink.

In response to Tessa and the lady with the little girl, I too experienced a sore throat over the last month and I can say the acne is starting to fade away (I am happee41 from previuos entry). The sore throat was most noticable during the first week of taking Advair, additionally; it seemed that I got worse with my allergies. My dosage was Advair 250. As stated in my earlier entry, I think I was misdiagnosed. However, I have added natural foods to my diet, i.e. soy, sunflower seeds, vitamin E and fish oil supplements. I'm also not feeling fatigued and I can finsih my workouts now. I am trying the alternative route in the hopes that asthma symptoms do not reappear. It's only been 8 days and so far so good.

I was put on Advair 250/50 two years ago. I only took it once a day. I work out 4 days a week and eat under 1800 Cal a day and couldn't lose weight. My Doctor put me on the lower dose of 100/50 and in two weeks I lost 10lbs. I am now taking it every other day and have since lost 4 more pounds. I do believe the advair can cause weight gain. I know it will not let you lose weight.

1 month on Advair 250/50 and I'm starting to feel hoarse. I wake up every morning with a dry throat, and I still don't feel 100% in regards to my asthma. No acne or other problems so far, so I'll just stay the course and hope for the best.
