Advair HFA and correlation

I am 35 yrs. old and have been using inhaled steroids(albuterol,asmacort,vanceril, and Avair) for the past 16 years. I had noticed my eye vision deteriorating over the last 11 years. I was diagnost with and eye disease called kerataconis. i suspect a connection to my asthma medication use. I can only see effectivly with aid of special lense glasses, or hard contacts. I have since ceased use of Advair, and all inhalers , hoping to halt further progression, and the need for corneal trans plants. Too bad for me that Advair and the drug companies didnt fully do a better job warning the public 11 years ago when it could have made a difference.

I have been using Advair off and on for the last couple years. Each time i have gone on it i have gained weight and i have been unable to lose it. I had no idea there was any correlation, untill someone mentioned to me how they had gained a lot of weight by using prednisone, which is also a steroid used to treat asthma. It all makes sense to me know. Does anybody know of a asthma preventitive treatment medication that does not cause wieght gain.

I couldn't figure it out - I've been in a bad mood for months, depressed, quite unlike my normal disposition. I am prone to seasonal depression, but this was more than just feeling gloomy in the winter. Very moody, feel angry a lot but don't know why. Also breaking out more than usual - thought it might be BC pill but I've taken that for 10 yrs with no problems. Have been experiencing these chages over past 4-5 months, and realized that is when I started taking Advair 100/50. So I started reading about side effects and was surprised (and relieved - I'm not going crazy!) to see a correlation. My asthma has improved dramatically, but I can't stand my psychological state. Stopped taking it last night, hopefully will see an improvement! Glad to see I am not alone!!
