Advair HFA and neck pain

Wow, I got on the internet this morning looking got side effects of advair b/c I mail ordered my script so i've been without for a few days. i have been experiencing severe neck pain, thought I slept on my neck wrong, but it's still here after 3 days. I have been on Advair 100/50 for 6 years, and have now worn glasses for 3 years, on nerve blocker medication for neck and shoulder pain, horrible heart palpitations, but I've never thought these things related to the Advair until recently. I've been asthmatic all my life and thought Advair was a lifesaver, but always had some concerns. I knew any medication could not be safe for life, and after 6 years. I'm really starting to pay a price.

Severe hip and neck pain & discomfort.

Please tell me, Has anyone had very back constipation and then Diarrhea. I have be on Advair 250 for 4 weeks and I have had very very bad stomach cramping then diarrhea and then constipation for days. Neck pain, sinus pressure very extreme, dizziness, and now I have thrush in my mouth. My constipation or gastrointestinal problem has not left yet but the other symptoms have except the thrush. I have been using Advair 500 for 11 days. It was prescribed for asthma, which I have never had before. I was diagnosed with walking pneumonia in April and then concurrent with the pneumonia - asthma. I have been to two asthma/allergy specialists recently. One wanted to keep treating me with antibiotics and I said no. The second specialist prescribed the Advair. I immediately felt better...wheezing was gone inside of a week - completely. I am supposed to use the 500 for a month and then go to the 250. While I haven't gained any weight, I am unable to sleep, feel warm all the time, and am experiencing migraine type headaches, and neck pain. I've read some of the posts here and I am concerned that I've read about people stopping the Advair. Shouldn't one be weaned off the Advair like other steroids such as prednisone??? This is all very new to me and I just haven't felt well in over 2 months...want to get over it and get on with life. Thank you!!!

I have been on advair for just over 2 months, i too have had all the symptoms that all of you have experianced , and stopped taking the advair as well. My symptoms are severe muscle weakness, pneumonia, thrush, major phlem, hoarness, neck pain, mood swings, aggression, excitability, weight gain (25lbs. in 2 months), i was givin advair for COPD, and i told my dr. of my change in symptoms, and they said it could not possibally be the advair millions of people are taking it . So i took it upon myself to stop taking it its only been 2 days without it, and i have yet to start feeling better.

Read many of the postings and I am experiencing almost the same thing...weight gain of about 15 lbs, the little bumps like acne on my face(not sure what that is) and occasional muscle/joint pain. The Advair really helps me breath much better than I used to but the side effects are awful. If anyone knows of an alternative medication that works with a lesser degree of side effects, please let me know.
