Alesse and yeast infections

I have been taking Alesse for about 3-4 years, and I always liked it over any other bc I had tried, until recently. I am a generally happy person, but I started noticing that I never cry anymore, which is very strange for me, because when I get stressed or upset I will usually cry and I feel much better. So now I feel depressed and cranky all the time. I also for the past year or so have experienced a loss in sex drive, which I thought was just me. I also have had numerous yeast infections, but it's been like that since I started taking bc 5 years ago.

I think everyone has different reactions to different forms of birth control. I was on Alesse for 2 years with zero problems. Then one day my pharmacist offered me the generic form Aviane and told me it was the same. I decided to get it since its cheaper, but now I wish I hadn't. I had some of the same symptoms listed here on Aviane, like yeast infections, low sex drive and thinning hair. So I'm going back to Alesse which was always great for me. I've been on Alesse now for 4 months and just in the past month and a half I've noticed the terrible side effects it's been causing. I haven't had a normal nights sleep for over a month now, I wake up every couple hours and have vivid nightmares/dreams pretty much every night. I've had 2 yeast infections already, horrible mood swings where I feel intense rage towards anyone near me, definite hair thinning, and total lack of sex drive. I have no energry and I just don't even feel like me anymore. I mean I know any med is going to have side effects but this is just too much. I'm now going off the pill and I have an appt to see my doctor next week and hopefully switch to a different BCP with less severe side effects..
