Aromasin side effects

I am having trouble swallowing and I wonder if it's a side effect of Aromasin. I've been taking it for two months, and I wake up with a headache every day and my back hurts.

I've been on Aromasin since October 07. I had increase in hot flashes, but those seem to have subsided. I have had breakthrough bleeding, though I was told that could be normal, esp. since it has been extremely light. I am an athlete in my 50's but noticed more pain in my shoulders than I've ever had. Anyone else?

I began taking Aromasin 1 year ago for advanced (Stage 4) BC with mets to the bones. I have increasingly had severe joiont aches, my hands and fingers ache so badly at times, I feel I can barely hold a book, or type, etc. My hands and fingers tingle and feel numb. I also have severe wrist pain so much so that I sometimes use a heating pad for some relief. I do not wish to discontinue it because it seems to be working and my Oncologist says the side effects are more tolerable than chemo, which I have already had before. I feel like my Dr. sometimes thinks I am exaggerating my pain levels, but I struggle with daily activities. I am on Fentanyl patches and even have to resort to Hydrocodone when it becomes to intolerable.

At first, I didn't notice any side effects, but now that I'm in my 3rd month of using it, side effects are a problem and seem to be getting progressively worse.

Pain in hands and wrist joints. Trigger finger. My hands stiffen up at night and are painful during the day. This has been the main complaint. I've stopped taking the medicine but wonder if the pain will diminish over time or if it's permanent.

Vomiting, lots of pain on right rib, and muscle weakness, same joint pain as with arimidex or worst and I just started taking it!!!!!! Does it get worst or better after a while? I am fed up with these meds......... Whats the real outcome 3% or 4 % for survival and recurrence? Anybody knows?

just been on it 2 weeks,,,but having hot flashes moodiness, constipation....Will i experience anymore side effects the longer I am on it?

I have taken Aromasin since October 2005. I've had problems with joint pain particularly in the fingers, right arm, hips and soles (yes soles!) of my feet. At one point my right arm would go numb when I was in bed at night. That has decreased. When I get out of bed I experience moderate pain in my fingers and feet. Middle finger on left hand,"pops" when I flex it first thing in the morning. It's painful to open my fingers when I get up, but with movement it gradually lessens in both hands & feet. During the day its okay. It is concerning. I question what the long term effects might be.

I was on Aromasin for fifteen days and developed dry eye syndrome. I could cope with this if it was confined to having a gritty feeling in the eyes, but I also have bad visual distortions and have gone from having 20/20 vision to not being able to drive. I saw an opthalmologist immediately who recommended eye drops, flax seed oil pills, warm compresses, etc.. I had been using all but the flax seed oil prior to his diagnosis, and so far have only had a little improvement in visual acuity (after not taking Aromasin for two weeks). I was on Tamoxifen for almost ten months, and then Femara for one month. I had severe musculoskeletal pain with the Femara and took a med. break of almost two weeks before trying the Aromasin. I started Aromasin 3 months ago - only one side effect- significant loss of hair.

painful joints
loss of hair
weight gain
bloating
irritiable
a bit of depression because of my weight gain
headaches

My hair is falling out .

I just started taking this, but my concern is the increased appetite. If anyone has had this side effect let me know.

I started taking Aromasin in October 2004 along with Luron after 7 years breast cancer free. I realized after reading other peoples stories that the Luron gives you lots of pain, put I recently read that the Aromasin may also cause pain. Is there anyone out there who has had pain from the Aromasin. I had my last shot of the Luron 2 months ago but still have the pain and would like to know if it also comes from the Aromasin.
