Avelox and biotic

I was given Avelox after a hospital stay with diverticulitis. My insurance woudn't cover the other anti-biotic which I can't remember the name of right now, so they replaced it with Avelox. About 30 minutes after taking my first dose of Avelox I had a rapid and pounding heart beat, shortness of breath, disorientation, and extreme anxiety. I went to the ER and they told me I was having a panic attack, but I know this was the Avelox! They gave me Ativan to take with the Avelox so I would fall asleep instead of feeling like crap with the avelox. Two months later I still suffer from a pounding in my chest which the doctors can't figure out. I believe I am having long term effects from the Avelox. It should be banned. Don't take it and don't let the doctors convince you that you are having anxiety.
