Aviane and birth control pills

I have had lots of the side effects that most women described. The most severe for me was the dramatic hair loss that I suffered while taking, first Aviane in the beginning then being switched to Lutera really did'nt make much of a difference, however I have lost weight which was a plus, but the hair loss and restlessness made it a minus not to mention the depression and low sex drive. So I have decided to finish my last pack, then just completely go off of birth control pills and hope my cycle lightens up, otherwise I will try some Homeopathic remedy and see how that goes. I just cant afford to gain weight after all the work i did to lose it in the first place.....does it "make you gain weight" or is it the foods you eat while you take it?

um... i think the mood swings are just bitchiness... i dont think its the medicine making u like this... no one I know has had this problem... this pill is awsome and no matter the side effects, it gets the job done... personally, I havent had any side effects... i went on this site before I started taking this pill and it made me so upset... i was so scared to take it but I had to at least give it a try... I'm glad I did... It's awsome and saying negative things like this just scares girls who are researching pills... maybe you should see a psychologist if you have mood swings... be greatful that you have something like this... its better than being pregnant...

I'm a 37 y/f that has had three children. I took bc way back when in my teen years but never needed it again till now. I've been on the pill 7 days. I was wondering how often anyone gets really bad nausea and vomiting with this pill? I've been sick everyday. I was advised to take the pill before I went to bed and to make sure I had some type of heavy protein to stick in my stomach while i was sleeping to calm the nausea... But that has not worked. within 4 hours of waking i'm feeling very nauseated... 90 percent and will get "ill" each night before I go to work. At first I thought it was a stomach bug... doc said I could expect some nausau but didn't want to switch me for the first month. Will this nausau feeling go away? It's very hard for me to do my job and be sick alot. Anyone have suggestions? I have nausau, vomitting, stomach pains and major acidity in my stomach. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks

Honestly, i have nothing to complain about.
I'm 19 years old, and i started using birth control at 18. My first birth control pills were Ovcon-35. They left me feeling terrible. Depressed. My whole body ached, i couldnt move. My sex drive was non existant.. my period was off. i was getting it every 3rd week and it would stay for 14 days. Then i began getting yeast infections every 3rd week. i went to the doctor and was prescribed Aviane. These pills have made verything improve. I am able to become self-lubricated. my orgasms are more intense, i have no more depression. i want sex constantly.. my breasts are tender before my period, but for me, that is how it has always been.
I think that everyone is different. If Aviane is your first birth control pill, it may just be that. Ovcon-35 was my first, and i hate it with a passion.

As with everything, people react differently to different hormones, and chemicals. I think doctors need to look deeper into their patients backgrounds. it's a shame things like this are over looked.
