Bactrim DS side effects

I cannot sleep, my body is tired but my mind is racing, Im paranoid and anxious. Light case if nausea, off and on headaches, just a little depressed not severe though.

i was on bactrim for 5 days for an ulcer in mouth

the ulcer was cured but after 3 days of taking bactrim ds i started passing

dark urine which continued for 5-6 days

I was checking side effects of Bactrim now for my sister. She took one pill and had reactions.

Last year my husband had side effects to Bactrim. He was taking it for a spider bite that got infected when he went to the doctor (dr. didn't properly clean hands, etc). The dr. said culture of the area wasn't necessary.

End results were extreme swelling and rash from his neck down to his feet. He was holding at least 20 pounds of fluid (we weighed him). He contacted the dr. when the rash first started, but was told to keep taking. A couple days later went to the dr. and dr. still thought he should keep taking Bactrim.

It was close to the end of med. so he stopped. It took several weeks for the rash and swelling to disappear.

Since then he has been to another dr. and told he has MRSA. We are going the natural route and it is working.

Ear busing, pain and swelling on my left ear down and a golf ball un my throat, short pin pain on my kidneys and legs first noticed swelling of my lower lip with small blisters after one pill SMZ/TMP DS 800 –160 TAB QUAL

UNTIL READING DIFFERENT REACTIONS TO BACTRIM, I THOUGHT THAT I MAY POSSIBLY HAVE A BRAIN TUMOR. I STARTED BACTRIM FOR POSSIBLE STAPH INFECTION AFTER HAVING POISON IVY AND SOME SPIDER BITES. AFTER TWO DAYS ON BACTRIM, I DEVELOPED A LOW FEVER AND HAD DIFFICULTY SLEEPING ALSO HEADACHE. I STOPPED TAKING IT ABOUT HALFWAY THROUGH MY PRESCRIPTION AND DEVELOPED DOUBLE VISION FOR THE NEXT SIX DAYS OFF AND ON. THE WORST TWO DAYS FOR ABOUT FOUR HOURS STRAIGHT. I SAW A OPHTHALMOLOGIST WHO COULD FIND NOTHING WRONG WITH MY EYES AND SUGGESTED THAT MANY THINGS COULD CAUSE IT FROM MEDS TO A BRAIN TUMOR. I FEEL BETTER AFTER READING OTHER ADVERSE REACTIONS. I ALSO DEVELOPED HIVES ON BOTH THIGHS. NASTY MED.

I have had every side effect that the medicine states that you can have. I normally don't react to medication, but with this stuff, it is ridiculous! I took it for an infection that I had in my ear and from the very start, I felt loopy every time I took it. Then I began almost like hallucinating when it was bedtime. I was extremely tired, but could not get to sleep. Finally, the morning after I finished the prescription, which also happened to be my birthday, I broke out in hives from head to toe. I appreciate that my ear was healed, but now I have a whole set of different problems just from the meds!

I have taken one pill of bactrim ds, also known as sulfameth/Trimethoprim 800/160. I too about lunch today for a spider bite i got the night before my leap surgical procedure so during that the doctor said he thought i had gotten THAT COMMUNITY STAFF like MRSA that 99.9 percent people have but not my body is itching all over, i have chills, and my back is burning, I feel different all around kinda like im in another world and very sleepy but cant sleep. Im not really having many emotions or feelings either,I just feel like I don't care and that is taking 1 pill at noon and 1 around 10pm. I don't no what to do I have 2 babies under 2yrs of age and I need to get better but i don't no if the med is safe.

Ive been takine it for about 2 weeks, up untill yesterday that is. the first few days taking it i had no problem, but then i started getting really bad headache's, blurred vision, nausea, and tension in my neck. then yesterday i woke up with a small rash on my chest. As the day went on the rash started spreding buy the end of the day i had a major headace, fever, and i was covered in a rash from my neck to me knees. i went stright to the doctors an he said i was having a major reaction the the drug and to stop taking it. hopefully this rash and headaces will be gone with in a few days.

I'm still on it and hadn't had any side effects except slightly itchy until last night when I suddenly was bloated and very gassy and just had a sour stomach.
