After only one week on this drug (2,5mg dosage), which was prescribed for high blood pressure, I experienced swelling of the knee joints, accompanied by pain. I understand this is "gout" caused by precipitation of uric acid in the joints. I stopped takig it immediately, but the residual symptoms are still there two weeks later. Fairly useless to give a medication for HBP that prevents the patient from walking!!!

AFter coming off Lisinopril (see that section) i am so much better. I just take a small dose of Bendrofl.... at night and feel alive again!!! Do have a little trouble with hand joints, but find this worsens after eating tomatoes, citrus and wine..... all to be avoided with gout.
