Biaxin and dizziness

Yup, all of the above... I have been dizzy, restless at night, nausious, but like you have all said, the worst is the TASTE that is in your mouth all day and night, it tastes like a combination of grass and metal and it gets worse every time I cough (I am taking Biaxin for a very bad lung infection). I wake up in the middle of the night gagging and I have to run to the bathroom to basically drink mouthwash so that it will go away for an hour or so and give me some relief. It is disgusting and if it weren't for the fact that I NEED to get rid of this infection I would definitly stop taking it if only to just get rid of the taste in my mouth.

This is Madness.I just read all these comments and there is not single one of them that I do not have! I`ve been on Biaxin for 20 days now , and I went through every single step that you guys wrote. What the hell am i supposed to do with the Dizziness ? he gave me another one to use which is called Meclizine 25mg ? and IT DOES NOT WORK.
Luckily i finished 10 days of theraphy of Biaxin today.

Let me know if this dizziness will go away PLEASE !

When did the dizziness and vomiting start for anybody here?... The only side effect I've found so far--and I just took my second dose a few minutes ago--is paranoia. And this paranoia AND anxiety seems to be about the drug itself and side effects. Normally, I don't gie these things a second thought and have never had side effects to any antibiotics before.

Just wonderig when these things set in and any early warning signs of them.

I have been taking this for a few days and I am glad to read that I am not the only person having these problems.

I have nervousness, a strange taste in my mouth, fatigue, depression, dizziness, stomach pain and - most strange - my vision is blurry.

All of this happened immediately after I started taking Biaxin. This drug
should be taken off the market, in my opinion.

I am a 34 year old male who has been given biaxin 500mg 2x daily for whooping cough. I do feel better with the cough, but I feel like my insides are coming out of the other end of me! And just a terrible bitter taste in my mouth, like right before you throw up. I am also on singulair which has similar symptoms of jitters and mood swings, along with dizziness etc. This is really strong stuff, I am very fatigued.

Sleeplessness. Strange dreams. Dizziness. Ears feel strange, can't quite explain it. My moods have also been strange, very easily angered. I am being treated for sinuitis. I am taking 500 mg twice per day.

I have been on Biaxin for two days two pills a day 500 mg.

I can relate with the bad taste in the mouth, dizziness, and diarrhea. I have alo experienced the loss in apetite. The other side effect that I noticed was my sense of smell changing. Everything smells awfull. Everything smells like the pilll itself. It is driving me crazy..

The worse thing is I can not even see a doctor until Mondayto change my precription.

Only been on for 5 days. Was just checking the web to see if I was going crazy or if all this stuff is "normal". Taking the Biaxin extended release, for pneumonia. I too have experienced:
- Sleeplessness
- Night sweats
- nightmares (I dread bedtime!)
- Horrible metalic taste (which I think is causing me to clench my teeth and giving me a headache)
- some abominal discomfort
- dizziness,
- physically larthargic, but mentally energized; can't seem to shut my brain off

I took it at night the first three times and then switched to mornings to see if I could sleep any better. It didn't help. The symptoms just last 24 hours now. When I took it at night, I didn't notice side effects so much in the day. But then I was so tired from not sleeping - it's hard to tell what's causing what.

I was given 500mg Biaxin. After a few days I felt worse than i did when I was not on the medication. I had a headache, chest pains, problem sleeping, dizziness, nausea. It was for 14 days, I have not finished the dosage yet. Bad taste in my mouth, stomach cramping.
