Biaxin and metallic taste in mouth

I have been taking Biaxin for seven days. Thank goodness this is my last dose. I've had all the regular symptoms (naseau, upset stomach, diarrhea, metallic taste in mouth morning, noon and night), but I also have noticed a severe break out with acne, night sweats and tiredness. I feel like I can hardly keep my eyes open. I forgot one dose and felt almost like myself again, guess that's what triggered me to finally take the medicine. I will not take this medicine again. I'd rather get a yeast infection from some of the other antibiotics than feel like a walking zombie again. This is some strange stuff. I even quit taking my zoloft while taking this antibiotic thinking it was the interaction of the two drugs, but it didn't help.

Don't know which is worse, the complete blockage in my sinuses, or the Biaxin. This is the second course of antibiotics I've taken this month to cure it and this antibiotic is the worst.....metallic taste in mouth that never goes away and wakes me up at night to remind me of it's every lasting presence, diarrhea, constant upset stomach (like I'm hungry, but not), yeast infection - the only upside to it is that my moods are better (not worse). I only have 2 more days to go. My provider told me to reduce my Biaxin to 1 perday instead of two (to cut out the metallic taste), but I'm just gonna suck it up and finish the meds. Sounds like others have similar complaints about the drug....which they could fix the metallic taste and the diarrhea - then I'd be happy.

first night on biaxin, had increased heart rate, 100 resting. I woke up in the middle of night last night with severe metallic taste in my mouth, checked web for metallic taste in mouth and this web site came up for side effects of this medication, how strange.Felt better yesterday.T his is my 3rd day on, so wondering what is next. I guess its better than the infection, but I wonder if I should change after reading other comments.

also 12 hours after 2nd pill i felt side effects,very vivid nightmares quite real and extreme,upper ab pain,diarea,metallic taste in mouth,quick to anger mood swings,night sweats.i have been a bouncer for 13 years im lean 225 pds 6 feet tall dont drink smoke or do drugs and the nightmares actually scare me, involving violence,they are also very emotional i cry in them sometimes,involving past and present relationships they are very emotional!!!, but the violence and emotional parts are seperate parts of the dreams, they take turns in the nightmares which make them quite a roller coaster of emotions

Biaxin side effects: (began 12 hours after second pill)
Heart rate increased to 150 (My normal rate is 65)
Blood pressure increased to 180/80 (My normal is 120/80)
Elevated liver function reading in the blood
Severe metallic taste in mouth
Excessive saliva production
Pain in kidney area of my back
Severe weakness and rubbery sensation in legs
Burning & tingling sensation in tongue, mouth, lips, throat
Cold, tingling sensation in hands and feet
