Biaxin and teeth

hi,
I was on Biaxin for approximately 6 days, by the 5th day I noticed a lot of pain in my gums, and it was like my gums were receding. I quickly discontinued use and it took like 3 weeks for my gums and teeth to stop hurting again.
It has been probably 6 years since this incident, and gradually year by year and especially now my teeth have been rotting out of my face. I have good oral hygiene, and I am positive that Biaxin has caused this. Unfortunately I can't do anything about it.
Please reconsider before taking these pills!!!!!

I am taking Biaxin XL 500mg for skin acne. The only side effects that I experienced that bothers me is the after tasted which from what I have read is pretty common. I mostly suck on hard candy or lollipops to take away the taste. If I can't do that I'll brush my teeth and use a natual mouth wash.. seems to work. My face is getting better it is not as imflammed as it was before. I do experience trouble in sleeping didn't think that could be one of the side effects but then again I am still young and maybe I just don't want to fall asleep yet other then that it's been ok. I noticed the after taste like 2 - 4 hours after I take the pills.. which is both at the same time.. I will just suck on candy and/or use a mouth wash seems to work if not eat a healthy meal it's tolerable..

Only been on for 5 days. Was just checking the web to see if I was going crazy or if all this stuff is "normal". Taking the Biaxin extended release, for pneumonia. I too have experienced:
- Sleeplessness
- Night sweats
- nightmares (I dread bedtime!)
- Horrible metalic taste (which I think is causing me to clench my teeth and giving me a headache)
- some abominal discomfort
- dizziness,
- physically larthargic, but mentally energized; can't seem to shut my brain off

I took it at night the first three times and then switched to mornings to see if I could sleep any better. It didn't help. The symptoms just last 24 hours now. When I took it at night, I didn't notice side effects so much in the day. But then I was so tired from not sleeping - it's hard to tell what's causing what.
