I've been taking doxycycline (100mg, twice a day) after a meal for Lyme for about two weeks now. So far my stomach has been pretty good, got a little nauseaous a few times but not too bad.
The main problem I've been having is a tingling feeling in my hands, arms, feet, legs and sometimes my lips (almost like I had novacaine six hours ago). It feels like the blood circulation is poor, if I get up and move around the tingling goes away. At night I've been having trouble getting comfortable due to this, feels like my arms are falling asleep.
Can anyone tell me how long this will last after I finish the doxy? I have about two weeks left. Thanks!

I started taking 100mg twice a day on the 18th of Feb....I had just completed a 30 day Rx of Cipro per my Urologist's request. I am to take this Doxycycline 100mg bid for two months. Now the history is done; here is the problem? Around 2 - 3pm every day I start getting so tired I have a really hard time keeping my eyes open? I yawn and yawn and yawn......I sleep my normal night hours, but this afternoon stuff is not at all normal for me. Is this an effect of the Doxycycline? I didnt see that for a side effect on the web site. Or am I nuts? If so, I'll need more sleep. vr

My teenage daughter has been taking Doxycycline 100mg twice daily for about 2 weeks now. Today we spent the day on the beach. She is experiencing tingling in her hands, arms, feet, and lips. She was also experiencing burning sensations with her arms, lips, face, and feet. Now that she is inside and out of the sun the burning sensation has subsided. The tingling remains.

I'm prescribed doxycycline 100mg 1-0-1 for five days.
I'm alergic to tetracycline group of medicines. After taking Doxy... for two days I noticed a rash on right hand armpit, rash on my penis tip which give me irritation/itching. This rash on penis tip further developed into continuous ozzing pus on penis head. I'm not comfortable with this itching and I've to play with my penis to make it more comfortable feeling. On third day I found my undergarment having large spots of pus. I had loose motions coupled with severe stomach pain. I also noticed boils on my right foot anckle.

I have been prescribed Doxycycline 100mg twice daily for suspected Lyme disease. I have never experienced such strong side effects from taking an antibiotic before! The morning dose is the worst by far for me. It makes me feel incredibly nauseous and it makes me feel hot with stomach pains. I feel like being sick all the time for about 3-4 hours after taking it - I have tried lots of water and food but I still feel like crap! After about 4 hours I start to feel a little better then I feel like eating lots and lots!!! My body just seems to be swinging from feeling like I am dying to being very hungry hours later... I take the last pill about 10pm and stay downstairs for about a hour before I go to bed - strangely enough though I have never felt ill like I do in the morning and go to sleep ok. All very weird and I cant wait until I have finished taking this drug (14 day course and I am half way through)

My doctor subscribed doxycycline (100mg) once a day for 30 days. I completed the medication over a month ago, and eventhough it did a great job clearing up a skin infection, I'm still suffering from joint aches, particularly in my left foot and right knee. These mostly occur when I get up in the mornings and after I've been sitting for an extended period of time. Because I didn't have any of these aches before taking the medicine, I'm convinced this is a side effect resulting from the doxycycline.

I have been taking Doxycycline 100mg twice a day for about 10 days now. It has for some reason effected my joints. It started in my knees and seems to be moving to other joints like my wrist. I did see other posting with the same problems, but not a lot. I also had one day of being a little light headed early on but it didn't last more that a few hours. I do a lot of sports, so having knees that hurt and I have trouble using sucks! I am done taking the drug and hope to see improvement shortly, but really have no idea how long before my knees may feel normal.

My son was prescribed doxycycline, 100mg, 1xday for acne. Within 3 days he began to have severe nausea and vomiting. The only change in his life has been this medication. We even saw a specialist and they never asked us about medication he was on. They just tested him for acid reflux-inconclusive results. He has also had headaches, blurry vision, itching, and chest pain.

I've been taking Doxycycline 100mg once a day for the past three months for severe acne. I have experienced nausea and have been very close to vomitting when taking the pill on an empty stomach. Taking this pill before bedtime is a big mistake since the onset of stomach pain isn't immediate and usually occurs after 20 minutes or so. I now take the pill in the morning and a banana seems to do the trick for killing my stomach pain. In the past few days I've developed what feels like a stomach ulcer probably as a result of doubling my dosage for acne flare-ups. It causes acute stomach pain that comes in waves every 15 sec. and last for 5 sec. at a time. This pain is very severe. I have also experienced the tingling sensation (needles) in my hands when washing my hands but this happens only occassionly.

January 2007 I had an epidural steroid injection with Kenalog go completely wrong. The doctor placed the needle in too far and punctured the dura. Instead of aborting the procedure, he did the Kenalog injection directly in to my subdural space. I had immediate side effects, starting with a dural puncture headache. That headache changed in to chronic daily headaches that are very severe. I developed burning stabbing leg and foot pain, . I have bladder dysfunction, sexual dysfunction, and numbness througho...

Anyone here have any experience with chronic constant stomach pain below ribs in middle. My 15 YO has had severe stomach pains for 2 months. She has not been in school for 2 months. Dr's now all say it is anxiety. She wakes up with this and goes to bed with this. Has it night and day and on weekends. My sun has suffered from three years of age with stomach pain and discomfort uppon eating he is now 12 years old. We have seen many doctors all of whom are very vague. His blood work consistantly comes back with low amylase and lipase. Yet they dont see any need for further investigation. I have been told he has a sensitive stomach. As a mother I see more. I live with him and see him every day. He eats very little, (i think it still hurts) he says he's not in pain anymore. At nine he was still thr...
