I've been prescribed 100 mg. of Doxycycline Hyclate twice a day for 21 days for Lyme Disease. I was tested to rule that and rheumatoid arthritis out because of hand pain - and I don't know who was more surprised when I tested positive - my doctor or me. Any symptoms I had, including the hand pain, I attributed to the aging process (51/female).

Took the first pill in the later evening on a Friday and waited the 30 minutes before going to bed (instructions said not to lay down for 30 min.). I woke up in the middle of the night with terrible acid reflux, which I've never had. I found it difficult to time taking pill after not eating for 2 hours and waiting 1 hour afterward - never realized how often I ate small snacks. Same thing the next two nights - I also had heartburn, which is rare for me.

I realized it would be far easier if I took the pill immediately after rising and as soon as I came home from work. That has greatly reduced the heartburn and eliminated the acid reflux.

I am fully committed to taking the pill to have the best results in eliminating the bacteria from Lyme Disease, so I'm taking it exactly as prescribed on an empty stomach. This is causing some stomach upset and nausea, which is the worst in the hour after I take the pill while I wait until I can eat - especially in the last 15 minutes, when I feel on the verge of vomiting. I try to keep myself busy, but even without looking a clock, I can tell where I am in the hour. I am hopeful that by taking the meds on an empty stomach, I'll get maximum absorption - but it's been a struggle for me.

One other discovery I've made is that the nausea is less the rest of the day if I eat - and carbs seem to be what is most appealing. I'm far more easily nauseated during the entire day, some days more than others. I feel some fatigue, but nothing that is so severe I'm not able to function and go to work. I feel bloated and my stomach just vaguely hurts, so I'm trying to wear loose clothing.

I'm finding this drug therapy a bit difficult, as I felt pretty well beforehand. My doctor has recommended I give this my best effort, as it is the "go to" drug for Lyme Disease, but has said if I can't handle it, she will give me an alternative. I am trying to stick this out, partly out of determination and silly pride, but also because I am allergic to a lot of drugs and since I seem to be able to tolerate it, albeit with some discomfort, I figure I should suck it up. I have a little bit of the tingling, am occasionally feeling a little flushed - usually when I'm highly nauseated (which is a typical reaction for me), but nothing horribly bothersome.

I'm hoping I don't develop the sleeplessness, anxiety or depression that many of you have reported, as I feel terrible for you. That would become a deal breaker for me.

Unless it's my imagination, my hand pain is reducing and some achiness I just figured was normal has been lessening. If this was the result of Lyme Disease and I can get rid of that, this (hopefully) temporary discomfort will be worth it. Good luck to all.

Hey people, I'm glad that I found this posting myself! I've battled depression/anxiety for the past couple of years but thought I had gotten. Then I was Rx'd doxy 100mg twice a day for my cornea in my eye not working based on a clogged gland. Since I've been taking it I have been sick to my stomach (OK I new that was coming) and have had hot flashes and sensitivity to light (didn't see that but OK), and yesterday I felt totally detached from rational thinking. I felt nervous all day, was a bit light headed, and battled a bad case of depressive thinking. Today has been a bit better but I worry about this feeling returning. I need to continue taking the meds for I need to be able to see clearly. Has anyone else felt 'nervous w/hot flashes' while on doxy? I'm also taking fish oil omega-3 but it hasn't ever affected me like that.

I started this med yesterday for staph infection. My immune system is run down from 24 days of hemorrhaging with menopause and finding cancer in my bloodwork and catscan. My skin has thinned and I have large sores all over my body. This med was given to me yesterday and also my diabetes med was changed because my immune system is so weak it is kicking up my bloodsugars. Can you tell I am run down? I went to bed trying to throw up this pill today again and went to bed with chills while it is 105 degrees in Texas today. I even had to put on socks. I feel lightheaded and kind of out of it with blurry vision. Hard to tell what is from meds and illnesses but is no fun. At least I feel better not being alone with this. I am also burping a lot and I never do.

Today, I completed 10 days of taking 100 mg twice a day. It was prescribed to me by my dentist to prevent infection (took a tooth out). I had severe depression, nausea, dizziness, anxiety. I got to a point that I believed I needed psychological help. This is not me, so I begun research. Thanks to this site, I called my dentist and kaiser to told me to stop taking it since 10 is the maximum. The doctors do not believe it causes depression, but what do they know in my own personal experience with doctors with prescriptions they have put me through hell. I WANT TO THANK YOU ALL...YOU WERE MY HELP...MY SANITY. GOD BLESS EVERYONE...I AM JUST HOPING NO MORE SIDE EFFECTS ON THE LONG RUN...AND TO BE BACK TO MY NORMAL POSITIVE, OPTIMISTIC AND FUNNY SELF. HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!

To everyone out there that has issues with doxycycline...
Now i fully understand the old saying that nothing is free in life.

I got it for lyme disease 7 days ago, and it was one of the free prescripts from my grocery store (great i thought). Little did i know how powerful this stuff can be. For the last week i have basically had severe headaches and wanted to give up on life. I didn't want to work out, didn't want to go to work, had chest pains, muscle spasms, and DEEP DEPRESSION....
now i know why this is free, because after it gets you so depressed, they figure your doctor will put you on something to get you out of depression, a money making drug. This is probably the meds talking still (i stopped yesterday after what felt like a complete and utter mental breakdown). Regardless of my silly conspiracy theory, i am glad i stopped taking it, and i hope that i start feeling like myself again.

This medication is deadly! I was prescribed 100mg twice a day for 2 weeks for a supposed pelvic infection (don't know yet if that's actually what I have - personally I don't think so). I took it for 6 and a half days (equals 13 pills) and when I found this website and read people's experiences I immediately quit. I experienced some mild nausea the first few days but didn't relate it to the Doxycycline. Then I noticed I was having more bowel movements than normal (5 in one day). I thought maybe I was eating too much fiber as I had increased my intact recently. Then on the 6th evening everything fell apart. I was panicking for no apparent reason; it was just washing over me in waves. My heart was racing and felt like it was going to pound right out of my chest. I barely slept that night because every time I drifted off I startled awake with my heart racing. My body felt weird but I don't know how to explain it; my feet were tingly. The next morning I got hit with diarrhea (I'm usually constipated). Then that whole day I was sobbing on and off throughout the day. I felt like I had hit rock bottom. I wanted to die but was trying to fight these thoughts. I thought I was going to go crazy and start screaming. That was yesterday. I did not take my evening dose then and today have not taken my morning dose and will never take it again. I managed to sleep during the night although my whole body was super tense. Today I am doing better already but am very nauseous. My stomach & back hurt a bit but I am not sure if it is because of the Doxycycline or not, because I have been having a lot of health problems lately. Looking back on the last week, I can see the other side effects I was having which included being really cold (which is totally unlike me and it's summer), occasional ringing in my ears, burning in my abdomen, mild headaches, dry lips, trembling, my face feels hot...I can't remember everything. The panic & depression was the worst. Don't take anti-anxiety meds or antidepressants to combat this. I have been on them and they make things worse -- withdrawal can take months and is hell-like. Just get off the Doxycycline.

I will be honest with you I was having these symptoms before I was put on Doxycycline for Lymes Disease. The pins and needles in the hands, lightheadedness, major fatigue, shortness of breath. That was the reason I went to the doctor. I knew something was wrong and I also had been bitten by a tick. The blood test came back positive and I started on Doxycycline immediately. I actually get up about 6 and take the 1st dose and then go back to bed and the morning nausea stopped. The only new side effect is the very foggy feeling. What ever the side effect is can not be as bad as the symptoms of Lyme's Disease, before you stop taking the meds please read the symptoms, they are definitely are worst than the cure.

My daughter was prescribed Doryx for mild acne- 150mg a day. At Track Meets she is complaining that she is dizzy (seeing black spots) after races. Now she says she has tingling in her hands and lips. They feel like they are on fire also. I had her stop the meds immediately and am waiting for the dermatologist to call back. If anyone had these symptoms how long does it take for them to go away?? email me: ******

I was prescribed Doxy 100mg twice daily for 14d for a Mycoplasma pneumonia. Day 6 I started to get a bit dizzy and some changes in my vision, sort of having a hard time to focus but I just though it was symptoms of fatigue or just being hypochonric. From day 8 I started to get really depressed and felt that I was going to die and that everyone was leaving me. On day 10 I also started to get anxiety attacks and had extreme difficulties to concentrate on anything. By this time I also got tremor, weakness and tingling in my arms and severe neck pain. Throughout this time I was aware of the risk for benign intracranial hypertension, but I didn't get any headache or nausea until d 16, i.e. 2 days after I stopped the medication. I never had fever. I then dropped 6 pounds in a week and had a hard time eating. It is now 6 weeks since I stopped taking the medication. My pneumonia is totally gone. The depression/anxiety is almost gone although some social withdrawal and lack of initiative still remains. It's still a bit up and down but much better. My neck pain is still there but is also getting better and I only have minor tremor in my arms. The visual changes still persist but every now and then I feel like my old self again for a few hours/day. The whole episode have been, and still are, the worst experience of my life. I keep my fingers crossed that it will all go away over the next few weeks.

I was recently prescribed Doxy for Lyme disease. From the time I took my first dose until now, 3 days later, I have had horrible cramping. Similar to menstrual cramps, but worse. I also have a constant headache, though I'm not sure if the headache is caused my the meds or the Lyme disease itself. I have found I absolutely can NOT take this medication on an empty stomach. I drink the recommended amount of water and eat a few crackers when I take it. Seems to take the edge off a bit. I currently take a prescription medication for GERD, but I have been having the worst heartburn ever. Not so sure if I will be able to deal with 18 more days on this medication. I will probably call my doctor first thing Monday morning to see what my options are.

I was prescribed this for Epididymitis (sp?) about 4 weeks ago (100mg 2x a day). After a week or so on the meds, I began to have a striking number of the symptoms that everyone else has listed previously: Chest/Ab cramping, feelings of swelling in random places, loss of appetite, dramatic mood swings, a high level of anxiety, crying for no reason, confusion and panic attacks...I called my GP today for a psych referral, and when he calls me back I'm going to ask to be taken off the Doxy. Thanks to everyone who posted, it helped me for sure!

My side effects (Charles Clark)
3:00pm

It started with diarrhea after a couple days treatment. Then my hand muscles starting to contract on there own. Then I started having high blood pressure up to 212/118 and high heart rate and anxiety beginning to set in. My wife wanted to take me to the hospital but I refused to go (I wish I had. They might have taken me off Doxy then, but no, I was still taking it). I then started having problems breathing (like something was stopping me. Not like hyperventilating). My wife called the doctor and she said to stop the Doxy and come in. At the visit, she gave me meds for high blood pressure and ordered a heart monitor and stress test as she believed my problem was more likely with my heart. I didn't start the blood pressure medications as I needed to have the tests done in a week and a half. I had a panic attack before the stress test. There was a patient there who stated her granddaughter had developed panic attacks after she had taken Doxy for Lymes disease. What a coincidence. That weekend my blood pressure and anxiety increased and my wife called the doctor. They convinced me to start the blood pressure medicine as all of this might be caused by High Blood Pressure. I returned to the doctor 4 days later and she took more blood work as well as tested for Lymes disease again. Everything was normal and NO lymes disease. So what was causing all of these problems. That night when I came home from the Doctors I started feeling like someone just sprayed me like you spray a wasp/bee. I started to shake and twitch inside like I was dying I could feel my stomach convulsing and getting cold. Now at this point I had been off Doxycycline for a few days. My wife called the doctors emergency line and they called in a prescription for Xanex. I took it and it put be out. I woke up the next day feeling like I was on a bad rollercoaster ride going over the edge and trying to climbing out of my skin. I was unable to even take care of myself at this point. I started getting muscle twitches all over my body. I could not control my thoughts and had a hard time talking; my skin was so hypersensitive to the touch or movement. The only way I could deal with it was just lay down and not move. I felt like was going to die. More symptoms came: my middle finger on my left hand went numb; I was so nauseated I had a hard time eating; depression set in with sever panic attacks/anxiety, ears ringing, slight pain in my chest like I was having a heart attack and was becoming bed ridden and afraid of everything at this point. That next week I returned to the doctor and she noted how it seemed a struggle for me to walk into the office. She felt that I should begin meds to decrease the anxiety that was paralyzing me. She suggested seeing a psychiatrist and stated that if I got worse my wife should take me to the emergency and be admitted to the mental health program. So I began to take Paxil as well (I hate medications, but I was desperate). I was terrified that I might have side affects from these meds and I couldn't be alone and I was afraid to go anywhere, afraid I would have an attack or worse, stop breathing all together. I was terrified and my family was getting very worried about me and unsure what to do. Thanks to my best friend, my wife, and my family for taking care of me. If it were not for them, I would not know what to do. My dear mom even came in from Virginia to help take care of me. I can not express my thanks enough to my family! I have been off the drug now for almost seven weeks now and all my side effects are slowly, very slowly, dissipating. How come the Doctors don't know about this? Thank GOD for this site and the ones that took the time to post there experience with this drug! THANKS EVERYONE GOD BLESS YOU!

P.S. please reply on what you did to get rid of the side effects, how long did it take for them to go away and did your Doctor believe that the Doxycycline caused them. because I can't find a Doctor that thinks the Doxycycline can have these side effects.

I am glad I found this website. I thought I was losing my mind. I had a migraine for 5 days before going to the doctor. He didn't think the headache was from the Doxy. Ended up in the ER for the migraine, I was literally at my wits end. They gave me the cocktail to get rid of the headache and I woke up with it the next morning. I stopped taking the Doxy and started on Levaquin. Finally back to myself, no headache and energy.

I've been on this medicine for almost three days now and had no problems, until this mornings dose. my nightly dose consists of this and two other medicines, one of which i take food with and i haven't had any problems outta that dose. but this morning i was running late and didn't grab a glass of water with my meds, instead i grabbed a coke. HORRIBLE MISTAKE! i was running around the house trying to get ready for school but i still felt fine. about ten minutes into my drive i burp and then i suddenly feel as if i'm gonna throw up. another 15 minutes goes by and i had to pull over on the side of the highway and puke. it was so freaking embarrassing and horrible. i still made it to class on time though. i have now learned my lesson. if it says take with a glass of water, it really means take it with a glass of water :/

I am so mad at my doctor! i feel like he knew about the mood swings and just opted not to mention it! my entire life my friends and family have joked about how im always laughing and smiling no matter what is going on. i am a VERY happy person....i was just prescribed doxycycline for my acne and have only been on it for a couple weeks. i thought i was possibly having a pms problem but it just continued after i was off my period, i am so easily irritated now i find that i cry over nothing and cant seem to get over anything.this morning i got in a huge fight with my dad and was more livid than i ever have been in my entire life all over nothing!! and when i say nothing i mean NOTHING.i screamed at him and left my house and told him i wasn't coming home and not to call me or talk to me and then i drove around crying angrily and hysterically for 3 hours.my dad is practically my best friend we never ever fight.ive been losing sleep and having depressing thoughts about life and where mine is going.i just started college and im bummed cuz the meds are effecting my grades already(or so i think they are) i feel physically incapable of getting up in the morning and i have a hard time keeping up in the easiest dance class ever.i always have thoughts about how screwed up EVERYTHING is and my mom and i myself noticed that in the last week every time i call her its to complain about something and i get all choked up about whatever im talking about.now after reading about all these other people having issues with the meds im pretty pissed that my doctor didn't give me any options.if u plan on going to the dermatologist for acne i would recommend mentioning what you've read about this drug before they waste your time and money.life is too short for this crap...seriously.

Hi, just wanted to give all an update....day 8 off the Doxy, by the end of the 6th day off the doxy, I began to get a clear head again....I would feel great, then all of a sudden a fog would come over me for about 5 minutes with ear ringing, and go away....this happened about 3-5 times...my left arm and left side of my face felt hot, but i did not have a fever....thats when I knew the doxy was leaving my system...day 7 i felt fine, but went into a slump...laid in bed for about 12 hours, I think this was due to still having no appetite and barely eating for 3 weeks, I lost a bunch of weight . I felt mentally clear finally, the bout of depression that the doxy put me in was lifting, but still felt physically weak. Today, I woke up feeling fine, ate a croissant for breakfast, forced 4 sliders down for lunch, and finally was able to eat some dinner. The good part is that another user on this board was kind enough to mail me letting me know that she went through the exact same side effects, and assured me that they would subside with time, especially the loss of appetite and depression/anxiety...takes about 2-3 weeks off the meds for everything to start getting back to normal....She also told me that the doxy has a very long half life...so it does stay in the system awhile....but im starting to feel slight improvements as the days go by...the bad news...i don't think the doxy cured everything. Im considering taking ionic silver instead of any more antibiotics....one other caution...beware of Levaquin...I was on this at first for 5 days along with the doxy, and that drug truly is (in my opinion) dangerous. I read some of the side effects people were having, including myself and was horrified....I thought something was weird when my middle finger on my left hand went numb for a day, left hand was warm, right hand was ICE COLD, sudden and sharp pains in the back, like I pulled a muscle, that left me unable to move for a few days, and severe diarrhea. Anyways, please feel free to mail me if you have any questions....support is the most important thing a person can have because of the fear and anxiety these drugs put you through.

I will never take this medication again! I read all the side effects on the pharmacy print-out and didn't see any of the same effects I have been experiencing.

I am hypothyroid and I also take medication for depression so I thought perhaps my meds were not intermingling nicely together. It was a relief to see that I wasn't alone.

I began to panic this weekend, knowing that Thanksgiving is this Wednesday, wondering HOW the heck I was going to muster the energy to pull it off. Plus the mere thought of food makes me more nauseous than I already am.

I just called my doctor because I noticed the pills said '1 refill' on them. Thank God he told me I didn't need to refill them. I promptly told him I wouldn't have anyway, and why I wouldn't. He didn't seemed surprised. I just wish he had let me know this could happen.

2 weeks ago I was happy and full of energy...today, I'm at work wondering how the heck I got here...and how am I going to explain to my husband that, once again, I am going to bed as soon as I get home.

Oh yeah....I almost forgot the headaches . The headaches are doozies...the kind that make you grab on to your head and wait for the pain to subside. I seriously began thinking I may have tumors . This medication is awful... and it makes you feel like a hypochondriac because there are no warnings and the effects don't make any sense at the time.

Thanks to all who posted here!!! You saved me from myself. At least I now know this too shall pass. :)

I took Doxy for about 2 weeks as a remedy for a bump on my eyelid. This first exposure to Doxy seemed only to cause a little skin sensitivity and burning in my fingers, no big deal.

When my eye problem didn't go away, my eye doctor prescribed Doxy for a second time a month later. This time my side effects were much different. Within a couple hours of taking my first pill I felt a bit off, I felt anxious and unsettled. I Continued on the medication for a total of five days. During this time my side effects progressively worsened. The first few days I had very abstract thoughts, and began feeling strangely claustrophobic. By day three I was beginning to feel paranoid and fearful over just simple everyday things. Day five is when it all hit the fan. I started having difficulty breathing and feeling extreme tightness in my chest. My feelings of claustrophobia had also worsened to the point where I began having panic attacks, like I was trapped inside my own body. It was at this point I made a desperate attempt to search the internet for a possible cause, in hopes it might be the Doxy medication I was on. I was somewhat relieved to find this website and read that others had similar symptoms, maybe I wasn't losing my mind. I immediately quit taking the medication, but unfortunately the symptoms didn't go away for several more days. That night I was unable to sleep, I had mild nausea, and would wake up in the middle of the night in a panic and would shake uncontrollably. Lovely huh. It gets worse. I began to feel extreme fear and paranoia like I was going to die, or lose my kids and family. I began to feel if this didn't go away, I would not be able to go on. Thank God it did, and by day eight the extreme thoughts began to subside. I continued to have the breathing difficulty and mild depression for several days after, but the worst was over. Within a month I was back to normal.

I write this as a warning to those who are taking this med and feel anything close to this... stop taking it! I am a healthy, normal, 40 year old male, that has no history of mental issues, other than a "blue" day from time to time, and within six days I was entertaining thoughts of suicide. The psychological side effects of this drug NEED to be addressed. This is very serious stuff!!!!!!! Though it may be a small percentage of people that are susceptible, for those who are, it is a deep dark hole.

I started Adoxa (generic form of Doxy) about 2 weeks ago for a cyst. About 5 days after taking the med, I was swimming and my hands had the weirdest sensation... After I got out of the pool, my feet were on fire as were my hands. Thought I just had gotten sunburn, though I don't normally burn. A couple days later, I had a severe tingling/burning in my fingers and toes. Couldn't sleep because of the pain. This lasted 2 night and I stopped taking the Adoxa. Went to Urgent Care because the burning was not subsiding and and my toes and fingers were EXTREMELY sensitive. I couldn't even open a pop can. Dr. said I had Periphrial Neuropathy and it is not a side effect of the Adoxa that I was taking. Told me I had symptoms to a bigger problem. I have been off Adoxa now for 4 days and the tingling/burning/sensitivity has all gone away! I know that it is the Adoxa and will not ever take it again!!! Remember to trust your instincts when you take medications!!!!

Hello Everyone,
I am 20 years old and taking doxy for acne. I have been on doxycycline for about a week now, and have been experiancing symptoms since pretty much the get go. I didn't put it together that these things were caused by Doxy until I started researching it. I would keep commenting at work how i felt like something was stuck in my throat, and how nauseous I was. I just thought I was getting sick, but it has continued. It also seems I am having symptoms of a yeast infection. I have never had one before, but it seems to all add up. I also got my eyebrows waxed today and i started bleeding from it, as this makes your skin very sensitive and painful. My skin is looking better already, and this is something that i have struggled with for awhile. I am going to stick with the meds for awhile, and see if the symptoms persist. Having clear skin is something that I have been dreaming of for a long time. haha. so yea I wish everyone the best of luck!!

I'm taking Doxycycline 100mg 5x/day. Started a little over 2 weeks ago for Chronic Lyme. I have a 4 month course to complete.
In the past 14 years after that tick got me I was the living dead, those with Chronic Lyme know what I mean. I have virtually the same side effects as everyone else here and wonder if it even matters how much you take a day. A lot of you have the same doses (100mg 2x/day) and the same degree of side effects as I do. My side effects are headaches or a pain in my right temple whenever I cough, severe itching EVERYWHERE, blisters on my hands from itching, burns on my skin wherever the sun shines on me (I live in Florida), vomiting daily some days worse than others, mood swings, crying for nothing, nausea almost constantly, gassy (both ends), I have a bladder infection that started 2 days ago that after reading this can be attributed to the Doxy, asthma symptoms are getting out of hand, I also have this odd swelling/pain over my liver/gall bladder area that's been coming and going, ears ring, noise bothers me and actually starts a headache, diarrhea the first week and constipation the second week, skin feels tight and there's noticeable swelling all over.

With that said I want to say that yes this is not one of the more pleasant drugs to be on however in my case if I don't get these bugs out of me I am going to die so would rather deal with side effects knowing these bugs are being killed and I will be off them someday unlike the Lyme I will have for eternity. Lyme people and other chronically ill people on these meds say this is called "herxing" and this comes and goes also. You feel really bad and then you feel good, then bad and then good again and so on. I started out on this drug keeping in mind that any sikness/side effect was telling me those bugs are dying so in a sense I almost welcome them.

Good luck everyone:)

I started taking Doxy 100 mg July 2007 for the first time. At first I didn't link my side effects to the pills but after a break from taking it and started up again I finally out two and two together. First, it upset my stomach BIG time immediately after starting on it. I felt bloated and everything I ate upset my stomach--as the result of this I lost about eight pounds from just not eating anymore. I even went to see a GI doctor about my stomach problems! Who recommended I eat more fiber and get more exercise (I told her about all the meds I was on)! I also got sudden and very severe headaches, but the worst side effect of all is the extreme mood swings I had. I think I was going crazy and this almost ended my marriage...all of a sudden I developed low self esteem, constantly thinking I was worthless, fighting with my husband over the stupidest things and even contemplating suicide during the worst spells. I couldn't figure out why the sudden change- at first I thought it was the tough Chicago winter, since I am originally from a much warmer climate, because by this time I had been on doxy for about five months.
I was prescribed the medication to help clear up moderate acne on my back and my dermatologist gave me the prescription for a year, but never said come see me in a month, two months, etc to see how you;re doing. I am so glad that I stopped taking it in February 2008 --- my moods suddenly got better, I was myself again, I started eating again, my GI problems disappeared...and then...in April I started taking it again because with summer coming up again I wanted my acne to clear up- BIG MISTAKE! Within days of starting again my stomach started being upset all the time regardless of what I ate. After the first month I was feeling depressed again, hating myself and not knowing why--this is when i finally figured it out...and decided to stop...I'd rather have pimples on my back than feel the way this medication make me feel, which is pretty much miserable!

Im sorry that i didn't read this valuable information before starting this terrible anti biotics. I was prescribed doxy for mild acne, however after two weeks and a visit to the ER what i ended up with was chest pains and a very painful throat. Oh yes added to my panic. Well after two days the chest pains have subsided, but its still painful to swallow and eat. Does anyone know how long this feeling would last? Or whether I should see another doctor. Im hoping that it will get better since ive been off the meds now for about 2 days. Any advice is welcomed. To all who have suffered in someway over this nasty drug, hope you all feel better, and you're not in this alone, apparently we all have suffered in some way. Hope you all feel better soon

I was on it for about two months and experienced a little of the upset stomach. The worst was the sunburn on my nose, hands, knuckles and tops of my toes. And the tingling sensation on my hands was so weird! My nose and hands have healed, but the tops of my toes are still bad (one month later!!) I'm really scared, but one of my docs say that toes take a really long time to heal because of poor circulation. Anyone have this problem with their toes?? Another doc suspects discoid lupus. yikes!
