Following my 1st dosages of Eltroxin, my blood tests came back as my still having a very low thyroid. I've been taking it again for 5 weeks and am experiencing very uncomfortable and unusual tremors which last for a few seconds. I am not epileptic so, obviously, I'd like some feedback on this. What's causing these tremors???? Anyone???

My experience with Eltroxin has been a pleasant one. I'm only 17, 18 in a month, and have always been overweight and have also never menstruated. I'm not the type of person who loves sweets and ice-cream and junk food like McDonald's therefore I never understood why I'm overweight. I decided to consult a doctor about the situation and she had me have blood tests taken. When the results came she told me I had an "inactive thyroid" which could also have resulted in my menstrual problem. I started taking the tablet every morning for 6 months and slowly but surely I felt better, healthier, happier and I was losing at least a kilo a month. When I stopped taking them I had recent mood swings, I was irritated and frustrated for no apparent reason and started gaining weight. Now I'm back on them and I feel great again. I've had no negative side effects as far as I'm concerned and I'm happy. I still have a problem with my menstruation given that it hasn't started yet and I'm nearly 18 but me and my doctor are working on it. Eltroxin changed my life.
