My experience with Eltroxin has been a pleasant one. I'm only 17, 18 in a month, and have always been overweight and have also never menstruated. I'm not the type of person who loves sweets and ice-cream and junk food like McDonald's therefore I never understood why I'm overweight. I decided to consult a doctor about the situation and she had me have blood tests taken. When the results came she told me I had an "inactive thyroid" which could also have resulted in my menstrual problem. I started taking the tablet every morning for 6 months and slowly but surely I felt better, healthier, happier and I was losing at least a kilo a month. When I stopped taking them I had recent mood swings, I was irritated and frustrated for no apparent reason and started gaining weight. Now I'm back on them and I feel great again. I've had no negative side effects as far as I'm concerned and I'm happy. I still have a problem with my menstruation given that it hasn't started yet and I'm nearly 18 but me and my doctor are working on it. Eltroxin changed my life.

Have been taking eltroxin for several years...recently my doctor
raised the dosage from .150 mg to .175 mg. Am experiencing
light headedness, weakness, mood swings, headaches, nausea.
As of today I have stopped taking the new pills for a few days
and are going back to the less dosage and see if that helps.
I know I have to get in touch with my doctor and tell her what
is going on.
